Singing in the Rain

Warm Up: good morning, ssh, imperial walkers, hill billies, sir fazio, merkins

The Workout: The rain changed my initial plans but we persevered with a 4 corners arm / legs workout.
1 stop – forward run to our first stop for 20 prisoner squats

2 stop – side shuffle to second stop for 20 kevin harts

3 stop – backward run to third stop for fast feet / toe taps in cadence for 20

4 stop – side shuffle for fourth stop for 20 lunges

repeat but increased reps to 30

repeat but switched to carolina dry docks and mountain climbers.

We returned to the front of Oasis for people chairs and walls balls for two rounds. We had 15 mins left so I asked Six Inch and Best in Show for their “favorite” core exercises. We agreed on american hammer, box cutters, wwii and side planks for 45 on 15 rest for 3 rounds.

N.O. Multiples of Seven

5:30:30 Start; Warm up: GMs, mosey around parking lot to get blood flowing, up/up/down/down moving sideways down curbs, penalty burpees for Boss Hog not showing; taste of our four main event exercises.

Main Event: Four corners of multiples of seven reps (7, 14, 21): burpees, lunges, Turkish get-ups, and squats. PAX took turns with a Farmer’s carry of 25 lb dumbbells around the circuit.

3 minutes of Mary: low slow flutter, LBCs

Warm up: SSH 25x, stretch OYO

ME: Standard route.

Challenge: Fartleks – Planned for 1 mile warmup, followed by 3 minutes FAST and 1 minute SLOW, but decided to do distance instead. 1 mile warm-up, 0.5 ON and 0.5 OFF. Fumunga joined for all of these. Six-inch and Moose ran at their usual fast pace. McNugget and Downrange for a steady run.

Prayers: Escobar’s wife undergoing chemotherapy, Fumunga’s dad recovering from knee surgery. Moose took us out in prayer.

WU- burpeee penalty for switchboard being late. OYO: Michael Phelps, overhead claps. GM’s in cadence, squat hold, hamstring stretch. Mosey around building.

ME:

Irkin walks on water barrier every third. Total reps five. Dirkin Walks with a merkin every three barriers. Bear crawl, the rest of the way.

Round 1- Cinderblock exercises for round one: curls, triceps, World War III. Stationary partner exercises: plank hold, squat hold, LBC

Round 2 – Cinderblock exercises: Overhead press, 25 reps

3-4-2026 Possum Trot – Learning to Count-Off

Nine PAX converged on Possum Trot from near and far.

WU: SSH 25x, Imperial Walkers 10x, Hillbillies 10x, Arm Circles F/B 10x, BB sit-ups 20x

ME: Grab a rock. Success. Count off. Failure. Finally determined we had nine PAX. Then, we managed to count off as Group 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2…

Thang 1: Group 1: Slide rock across parking lot while bear crawling. Lots of different methods, including Sprinkler with a steady slide all the way across, leaving a nice skidmark; sliding and rolling was the most common approach, plus a couple of tosses. Group 2: Arm exercises, including curls and overhead press. At least two successful rounds. Time to move on!

Thang 2: Mosey with rock overhead and place rock at bottom of hill. Together, climb hill and do exercises on guard rail 5x. Dips and irkins. Requested by Gump.

Thang 3: Slide rocks for the final time down the back stretch (to make up for losses at parking lot). Return rocks.

Thang 4: Tennis courts. Group 1: BTW 20 second count. Group 2: Plank hold

Thang 5: Suicides on tennis courts. Beautiful courts, four courts wide. Requested by Six Inch.

The Workout:

A variant of a common DORA but instead of the team trying to hit a target number of reps, it was AMRAP style for 12 minutes per exercise. We had three PAX so two did the exercise while the third lapped the parking lot and then switched in for one who was working out and the rotation continued for 12 minutes x 3 sets. Total number combined reps were tallied.

  • Merkins = 355
  • Squats = 580
  • WW1s = 378

The Thang:

Divide all same bags and med balls evenly at top/bottom of parking lot hill. Divide into 2 teams. One team leader as POC

Thang 1:

30 reps per person each bag/ball

Heels over ball

Curls -40 lbs

OH press – 60 lbs

Dead lifts – 80 lbs

One each bag/ball has been completed on member runs it to other teams camp. That camp has 3 burpees before they can continue.

Fastest team to move all objects wins. Burpees must be done before winner declared.

Thang 2:

30 reps per person each bag/ball

Triceps- 40 lbs

Squat- 60 lbs

Med ball – 2 taps = 1

Sand bag burpee – 80 lbs

Neighborhood Sweep

  • Warm‑Up:
    Good Mornings, Frankensteins, Windmills, and Fazio Arm Circles to get everything loosened up.
  • The Thang:
    Mosey over to Crooked Bluff. For every mailbox on the right, knock out 1 merkin; every mailbox on the left, 1 squat. Reps increment and stack as we make our way toward the cul‑de‑sac.
  • At the cul‑de‑sac:
  • 20 Calf Raises
  • 20 Mountain Climbers
  • 20 Shoulder Taps
  • Rinse and repeat on the way out of the neighborhood, stopping again at a second cul‑de‑sac for the same set.
  • Next, mosey to Brushy Meadows and repeat the mailbox gauntlet all the way down to the cul‑de‑sac. After finishing there, we headed back toward Shady Greens, worked in some stretching, and moseyed back to the yard.
