Solo Traveler

Warm Up: GM, windmills, willy mays hays, lunges, sir fazio, seal clap and overhead clap. 

The Workout: I’ve read through the backblasts for Sheepdog and there was a mention of stairs. But YHC couldn’t find them and running solo decided to modify a bit.

4 rounds

1 lap around the school stop halfway at the playground for 20 merkins, 5 pull ups, 15 squats and 15 inverted rows. Continue lap to the front of the school for 15 dips, 15 urkens, and 15 durkens.

Repeats for 4 rounds

Ended the last round at the front of the school for 10 mins of core that included WWII, heel taps and LBCs.

8 HIM ran + rolled the dice all over Ting. 🏃‍♂️🎲

We were serenaded by owls and danced with cockroaches as we poured sweat under a beautiful sunrise. A well-earned OYO stretching and sharing of our F3 name history to end before 2nd F Coffeeteria. ☕

My best takeaway was getting to know a lot of you outside of the Fuquay Mafia that I never get to see. It’s really been a pleasure and I’m thankful for this community that pushes me to steward my body well.

The Workout: 3 HIMs showed up to R4J to do a light 3.5M route through Bridgewater and Windcrest. However the Q got turned around and it turned into a tour of Holly Springs and a rough intro to Crossway Ln for 5.5

Running up that hill

Warm Up: good morning, mtn climbers, sir fazio, merkins, prisoner squats, willy mays hays

The Workout: hill repeats on Ole Red

5 burpees at the top

10 patty cake merkins at the bottom

stop at bench halfway back up hill for 15 freddy mercury

repeat for 3 rounds

round 2 we increased to 2o patty cake merkins and round 3 switched to 15 broke back merkins

Mary: 10 mins core 45 seconds / 10 rest for 2 rounds of lbcs, low slow flutter, box cutters, meat gazers and home to marge

FNG: Doogie!  Welcome

Warm-up: 5:15am sharp (SSH, Good Mornings, WMH, SFAC)

About the time we were doing GM’s and WMH…over 10 PAX were walking into the Warm-up circle.  YHC noticed a lack of urgency for being late.  We continued with the Mission Statement (3 burpee penalty) Tried again with the Mission Statement (3 burpee penalty). Core values 100% (no penalty) About this time based on the honor system of those that walked up late we did a raise of hands and counted by 5 per person late. Late to ME Burpee penalty administered by Q = 55.  Total Burpee Penalty for Standard infraction = 61. (Could be a horrible F3 record to keep)

Hence the PAX were warmed up for a 4 team split.  3 Merkins on the drop and 2 squats on the drop.  2 point scored if inside the goalie box. Lots of great catches, throws, hustle and knockdowns across the board!

The Good 😊 and The Bad 😞 at R4TJ

R4TJ was full of surprises this morning – some good and some bad

@Downrange recruited for EC and nabbed YHC and @Sardine for 3 miles :neutral_face:

On the backside of EC we saw @Wild Turkey driving towards Ting :blush:

We also ran past @Yogurt on his solo slushie birthday EC :smiley: :birthday:

@Sardine had to boogie early so we missed him for ME 😥

When arrived at Ting @batboy was there! :blush:

We realized no one had joined for a Ruck or a 3 mile run :sob:

After running EC, YHC realized his 6+ mile route may have been a bad idea :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

We passed @Emeril running near his CrossFit gym :smiley:

YHC called an audible to reduce his 6+ mile route to a 5 mile route :face_exhaling: 😥
The PAX all decided to support me and come along on the shorter route :smiley::fist-bump:

YHC initiated a conversation about a podcast involving “Unauthorized Evacs” :poop1:

Purple Cobra Tabata

4 Purple Cobras trudged their way through a fun-filled Tabata workout that involved strength, cardio, and core workouts. It was tough, but much like the Pens 🐧, these guys don’t give up.

The Workout:

Go around the Circle drawing cards from a mishmash of decks I’ve accumulated for workouts.  Not sure if I have ’em all or how many I have.  I dont actually remember the workouts assigned to each suit so this backblast is representative of the Winky I placed on the ground next to the deck.  As a suit is repeated, switch to the alternate workout assigned to each suit.
