E-Ticket Rides at Disney

FNGs:  None

EC:  ShamWow!, Nemo and Full House

Showed up to Disney with three workouts planned in my head.  I wasn’t sure how many PAX would take my challenge after taking a picture of the abyss and posting it on the socials.  I wanted to make sure I had a plan for 3 PAX, <10 PAX or  >10 PAX.  It was a very long time since I had taken the 22 mins drive at o dark hundred in the morning.  I drove in silence doing a walk through in my head of the planned activities.   Planted the flag and greeted PAX I had not seen in 8 weeks.

Warm Up:  Nine PAX and a pooch took to the pitch after a mosey around it.  Completed SSH, Hillbillies, Good am, Seal Claps, Overhead Claps, Fazio Arm Circles, and static arm stretches.  The pitch was beautiful (flat, manicured) with temps  in the high fifties.

The Workout:  Mosey to the abyss.  Paired up for a Dora: 100 merkins, 200 LBCs, 300 SSH; hold squat/ completed squats and helped PAX finish their Dora.  Thanks for the assistance on the count of SSH Nemo – apologies for not clarifying single vs four count SSH.  Partner not doing Dora, ran/walked the stairs.  At the bottom of the stairs, PAX completed 5 Star jumps before starting back up.  Some PAX chose running up the dirt trail parallel to stairs.  Indian run back to pitch.  Nice sprints by Yogurt and POTS.

Mary: Lots of yoga.  Popcorn 10c AB work.

Announcements:  See Slack/FB

T-Claps (Recognition):  Special shout out to my Shield-lock brothers:  Masters for their support.

Prayer: YHC took us out.  Prayers for injured PAX, everyone struggling with pandemic, first responders, delivery drivers.  Honored to lead.

Running at Red October

The Workout:  See Poster/pic.  Completed three kettlebell exercises from the poster I had made the night before.  After three exercises, PAX ran together around the loop.  Rinse and repeat.  All exercises completed minus lunges and additional kettlebell exercises from our six added at the end.  These included, chest presses, Tricep straight arm curl, skull crushers and 6 inch leg elevation with kb over chest.  Ended up running 1.75 miles.  Great job Gump for hanging in there and shout out to Doc for his first Red October beat down.

Mary:  Joined the Mutiny PAX and FedEx led us with pickle pounders, plank hold, monkey jumpers, boat canoe, and burpees.

Cletus Black Ops: Covid-19 Edition

FNGs: None

Warm Up:  Motivated by POTS’ recent BB.  So I’m typing away at the keys this morning regardless of who I may or may not offend.  Reached out to the Masters for a small get-together.  Three committed to Cletus; two Brothers had prior commitments to another AO.  Super excited these HIM are STILL getting out and getting things done while respecting social distancing during this pandemic.  Doc and YHC had a quick run from the tennis courts to the opposite side of Womble hoping to meet up with a tardy/lost PAX member, Yogurt.  We were excited to see Yogurt after we executed some warm up exercises that included Good AM, overhead claps and seal claps.  Fazios and Don Quixotes.  Finished with SSH.

The Workout:  Bear crawled a ways down the parking lot; switched over to a reverse crab crawl the remainder of parking lot.  Mosey to the covered picnic area for 45 Count BTTW; up and over picnic tables; mosey to Dauber’s car for coupons.  Grabbed a 20# kb and two 40# dumbbells.  Took turns with each coupon.  Executed the following  10c exercises With multiple rinse and repeats:  curls for the girls, tricep extensions, rut-rows, overhead press, forward squats (coupon held to chest), backwards squats (coupon on shoulders).  Threw in multiple farmer’s carry with two 40# dB while remaining PAX executed merkins, Carolina dry docks, LBCs, plank stuff, lunges, etc.  We kept moving keeping it fresh. Added 10 burpees OYO for fun.  On our backs, we executed 6 inches with the coupon over our chest; lots of chest presses.  R & R.  Did more AB work including plank coupon slaps and American hammers.  Finished with some high speed soccer taps on the coupon.

Mary:  lots of static stretching, leg lifts, H2M, hello dollys, Catalinas, etc. with some much-needed mumble chatter.  Returned coupons.  Sanitized them.  Great mumble chatter.

Announcements: check FB/slack.

T-Claps (Recognition):  Breach for his leadership with the CoronaRucks and the PAX & 2.0s he inspired to take the challenge.  Love his quote, “if not me, than who”.

Prayer:  Truly appreciate the authentic conversation this am and the vulnerability exhibited.  Small groups allow this.  We are all suffering through this pandemic.  It’s OK to ask for help.  Love you men more than you will ever know.

Honor to lead you in the gloom.  I truly appreciate your headlock getting me back out in the early am. -Dauber

Coupons in Containment Area

FNGs: none

Warm Up:  Woke up with less than 4 hrs of sleep, restless night.  I’ll pay for it today.  Got in the garage and backed out M’s car.  Set up my coupons:  I had a cinder block and 20-25 LB dumbbells.  Pre-blast requested PAX to bring a rock.  Individual PAX asked if they could substitute – sure.  Weather was in the mid 40s outside the garage; it was over 60 inside.  Initially closed the garage door and then opened it back up.  It got hot after the warmup.  Exercises included, good am, Daisy Pickers, Don Quixote, Fazio am circles (F/B), overhead claps, seal claps, hillbillies, Imperial Walkers, and Side straddle hops.

The Workout:  The idea was simple:  conduct three different exercises using your coupon.  Initially 5 cc for each exercise.  Increase to 10 cc.  Then ladder down back to 5 cc completing the first set of exercises.  Funny things happen when you are Qing on-line:  forgetting  counts, forgetting order of exercises, etc.  I missed not hearing the PAX calling out numbers and sometimes the loudness of PAX; this is very motivational when you are live/in person.  THIS IS NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKS – Q ing ON-LINE!  Watch the video.  Also, trying to remember what we did without looking at the video.

1st round:  curls for the girls, rut-rows, goblet squats

2nd round:  Tricep curls, upright rows, alternating lunges

3rd round: from your six – chest presses, skull crushers, straight arm curls

4th round: slap rock from plank/butt in air (OMG my plank sucked), toe taps, ground pounders

5th round: midget love handles, wonder bras, jump up and over rocks (sorry for the crazy count)

Mary:  From your six, 10 count exercises:

Hello Dolly, Homer to Marge, 6 inches, Leg ups from bridge (L, R), chill cut planks (again butt too high), pickle pounders, yoga moves (downward dog, runners, warrior, pigeon, various stretching while coming up)

Announcements:  See Slack/FB

T-Claps (Recognition):  Holy poop – Q via internet is hard work – Hats off to 16 bit who did 5-6 Containment Qs in a row last week.

Prayer:  Unspoken.  Those impacted by COVID-19.

AGS – Below the Radar

FNGs: None

Warm Up:  OYO

The Workout:  3 PAX Rucked on the greenway; remaining PAX ran throughout HS.  A little humid with temps in the 60s.   Social distancing in place.  Lots of coordination by PAX meeting up to run or ruck with all AOs suspended.  YHC had signed up to Q weeks ago and felt obligated to show up for AGS.  And I did not want to disappoint Mookie.  Vaseline  (Vasoline – I think both are listed) was grateful for PAX coming out today and at his run yesterday at U-turn with Norm.  Did not plant the shovel flag.  No one had F3 gear on.  I guess we were trying to fly below the radar. Great mumble chatter as always on the greenway.  POTS added comedic value when he finally decided to join Sprinkler and me after sleeping through his alarm clock.  POTS is the real deal running with his ruck on!  Nice work.  After 3 plus miles on the greenway and various running miles on the streets/sidewalks of HS, we circled up for COT at 7:00 am.  The sky was gorgeous BTW.

Mary:  no time

Announcements:  See message on social media from F3 leadership; try and stay connected with your buddies

T-Claps (Recognition):  Great half marathon by Deadbolt yesterday on the ATT.  Shredder put in over 40 miles on his bike!  Lots of PAX posting how they are keeping busy with various workouts and activities.   Dauber reached his goal of Q at twenty different AO sites in 2020.  Holding off completing the remainder AO locations until we officially start back up.

Prayer:  Unspoken; Keep you and your family safe.

Sesame Street Spelling & Combat Moves…Love Sheepdog!

FNGs:  none

Warm Up:  Turned into Herbert Aikens after seeing two glowing lights in the distance heading my way.  I confirmed EC by Shredder and Martini.  Nice work.  Was not sure how many PAX would be in attendance.  Shredder and I contemplated a few ideas and he promised a nice beat down via pre-blast on Slack.  Numerous vehicles rolled in including one late AO owner that resulted in 10 burpees for the PAX given at the start of Mary. This would be the third (possibly final) time I brought the alphabet list to an AO.  It had been successfully executed earlier in the week at Paradise City and Purple Cobra.  I was confident that the Fuquay PAX had not experienced this workout yet.  Before getting to the newly described Sesame Street spelling workout, I had the PAx jog around the parking lot on a cloudy 54 degree morning.  Circled up by the two shovel flags.  It was Friday and PAX were in a GREAT mood regardless of the recent Wake County announcement.  THAT is why THESE PAX are so special!  Adversity comes their way and they face it head on with a smile.  PAX got busy with the following 10 cc warmup exercises:  good am, Don Quixote, Daisy Pickers, sir Fazio arm circles, seal claps, overhead claps, imperial walkers, hillbillies and 25 SSH.

The Workout:   each PAX received an alphabet card A-Z.  Each letter had a different exercise and a number of reps.  PAX were instructed to spell out their full names.  Time permitting, add their F3 name.  After spelling one letter, PAX would run the distance in the parking lot, length of the bus corridor, and begin the next letter in their name.  Rinse and repeat until full names spelled.  Shredder jumped in after PAX completed their spelling lesson with some awesome arm movements, both blocking and striking.  Memo to all:  I do not think you ever want to F#@^ with Shredder.  Just saying.  Thank you brother for your insights and demonstration.

The PAX performed exercises based on the following full names (some did their F3 name too):

CRAIG JOSEPH NELSON DAUBER

JESS DANIEL HINES DOVETAIL

EVERETTE SCOTT DANIEL SPRINKLER

JEFFREY THOMAS DUDLEY GUMP

DAVID WARREN CONNOR MARTINI

TODD ROBERT COLE NORM

JOEL MICHAEL GENIESSE SHREDDER

TRAVIS EUGENE CUNDIFF LIPSYNC

Mary:  10 burpees due to Dovetail running late; then each PAX called a 10 cc AB exercise.  If my memory serves me right, we did LBCs, Box cutters, Freddie Mercury, Hello Dollies, Left and Right side lifts, low slow flutter and heel taps.

Announcements:  See post re: Wake County new guidance/ordinance.  Be smart.  Be aware of F3 brand/perception.  Look to the greenways and personal property to meet up and carry on the AOs.  New norm for the time being.

T-Claps (Recognition):  THESE PAX at Sheepdog.  You all brought your “A” game.  Great attitude.  Great mumble chatter.

Prayer:  I needed help and Dovetail graciously took us out.  Thank you brother.  Lots of UNSPOKEN.  COVID -19 impact on all of us, our families, our first responders, etc.

Keep in contact with each other.  We all know how important F3 (not just the workout) is to all of us.  Get creative.  Keep it alive and keep it safe.

A unique 2nd F took place post workout at a Starbucks in a parking lot with lots of separation.

Honor to lead men!  -Dauber
