Yellow card and I had discussed the game plan for the workout. Had a friend drop a cooler- full of drinks ( water/ Gatorade) so yhc can take to workout but we were planning on running 3.6 miles from home front to PT, so that did not happen š¤Ŗ. Texted emeril to grab/ bring some water and of course he stopped and got some cheap ass water. Thank you
Parking lot was full and we rolled in right at 0523, rest of the 10 guys were just coming back from the EC run.Ā Thx, grabbed 2 tires and rolled them just like he use to back in the day, as a toy, all he could afford while in 3rd world country.
Set the stage/ tires- dawg # brought the rope( thank you). Dawg was very excited about carrying tires and ropes etc but he had no idea his perfect workout may not happen ..

The Workout:
We lined up went for a āburpee mileā waited for the 6th ofcourse through the hood that we never visit and behind aviator etc. we never know, we may pick a guy up. We also did burpees in honor of Bernie, in front of aviator bar (that fun night after the ruck). Emeril announced that we were 20 mnts in and we did the count off, stove pipe thought 10 count.. but no No no, no 10 count, this is not a (DD) workout, so we did 5 burpees to punish our selves. We also did 5 burpees since dumbo fartsacked and 5 in honor of my good friend puddles.
Break off in group of 5, one guy pulled the tire/ carry the tire and flipped the tire, while rest of the group did Ab exersices.
We still had 15 mnts, run to the tennis courts, of course dawg was salty but not as salty as he was at whiplash, since he did not get his fix of tire flipping-

You have a plan- You think things are set ( tires/ rope/ all the good stuff you asked for) and than someone takes you down a road where you have to do things that you hate( burpees)or do not like but you have to because you are dealt with those cards and you thought you had everything lined up. But guess what you are with a group of guys that every .10/ mile waiting on you cheering you on, looking out for you.. you take a longer road but you are a little bit stronger- storm of life has passed and day light has come, now go enjoy the tires..

The Workout: Part 1. Four corners. Partner up, wheelbarrow to first corner, 5 burpees OYO; wheelbarrow to second corner 5 burpees OYO; wheelbarrow to third corner, 5 burpees OYO; and finally–see a pattern here? wheelbarrow to fourth corner 5Ā burpees OYO. Da Business says wheelbarrows are his favorite!
Mosey to scoring tower Indian style. PAX plank up in a line. FNG Sea Legs started us off with 5 Merkins, hopped over each PAX to front of line. PAX continued for 3 full rotations.
Part 2. Circle up at scoring tower for Squats/BTW. YHC demonstrated good form for squats: Chin up, chest out, alternate hands touching ground between feet. Squats 15 count. Next, BTW 15 count. YHC shared good form–better balance and easier if your hands are as close to wall as possible. YHC spotted our FNG on these. Nonetheless, FNG scraped knee while coming out of BTW. Dang! Hence, BTW once again draws blood–just like @Slide Rule at Tiger Blood. Finished three rounds of squats/BTW here today, with blood spilled!
Mosey to spectator platform Indian style. This time, Guantanamo until all PAX rotated 3x. PAX was feeling it by now.
Part 3. What’s Cletus without Erkins/Derkins/Dips? Kept this one to only two rounds because the PAX showed signs of fatigue, plus I wanted to have time for a good Mary with Shredder’s standing squat. Mosey back to tennis courts for Mary.
Mary: Da Business launched Mary while I circled back for Bernie and FNG Sea Legs. Homer to Marge, Pickle Pounders, American Hammer, Australian Snow Angels. Popcorn Mary: Shoulder taps, nipplers, mountain climbers, Freddie Mercuries, more.
Finally: Brought back Shredder’s “Embrace the Suck” 2-minute squat hold. YHC demonstrated proper form. Slight squat with knees over feet. Chin up,Ā chestĀ out, arms relaxed hanging. Start clock. Pray, think about puppies, puppies on the beach, whatever works for you. PAX was grimacing at 1-minute mark. Hung strong for final minute and final 10-second count down. Ended workout right on time!

1 Year ago Kenny’s Grave was brought back to the gloom as an active AO. We have had some great workouts there over the past year. FV continues to grow and constant numbers for this AO are becoming more normal. The hot soup was in the air this morning. Beater was back in action. Yogi was found in the southern most part of FV. 7 total PAX was ready to put in work. YHC just rolled back from a solo EC run with 2 mins to spare. I grabbed My Boy Blue and a pair of gloves. Go time!
