Because You Showed Up…

After a very exhausting week, YHC was looking forward to some miles this weekend. Earlier in the week, PAX received word of race cancellations, as well as a series of domino effects that will soon impact the current day to day in the weeks to come related to COVID-19. For YHC, Sundays are that time of reset and reflection. Certainly a lot to think about and how different the last few weeks have been from what we knew several weeks before that.  Toilet paper has somehow become the staple of choice across the country, while social distancing is now a ‘thing.’ All sporting events have been cancelled, schools are cancelled, business travel is becoming suspended, and now working from home has become the new norm in our daily lives.

The one thing YHC knows that does not change is Sunday’s at AGS. Today was one of the more memorable for YHC as it reminded me how important ‘showing up’ can be, not only from an accountability standpoint, but also the impact you can have on each other and not even know it. You probably have heard this a dozen or so times, but “Who is pushing who?” Today, whether they knew it or not, each PAX had a significant impact on one another in that light 52 degree drizzle.

The day before, Redenbacher had asked YHC if I was still running a half tomorrow even though the Tobacco Rd 1/2 was cancelled. We were both signed up several months back. When the race turned ‘virtual,’ my attitude turned from doing it to eventually getting to it.  Having done 8 mi with Deadbolt at U-Turn yesterday, it did not seem like a good idea considering I was at PT getting dry needled that previous Monday.

My response was maybe. I’ll pre-blast it as an option for an insomniac 7.1mi EC and see who shows. Farva also mentioned a 6mi Ruck starting at 5:30am and Dauber also wanted to Ruck, but didn’t want to start that early, so offered a 3mi at 6:00am. This would be the start time for those running the 6mi Main Event as well. With the crazy EC option on the table, now ‘my eventually getting to it,’ turned into a ‘will have to do it,’ if someone shows. Goes back to the “if you can’t Q it don’t do it” mentality. If someone showed, we’d have to run it. It’s that simple. That’s how YHC rolls and when its out there and someone shows, you do it because someone else is just as crazy as you are and you don’t let them down.

Out of some type of miracle, YHC rose from the fartsack ahead of his 4:05am alarm as if the Sky Q planned it that way. Exactly at 4am woke out of a dead sleep. Scrambling for my iPhone 3, I noticed the time and elected not to hit snooze, but rather put on my gear and head to the garage to lace up my Hokas. Flag packed in the backseat, I muttered something that rhymed with “Truck Me.” Rolled into Womble at exactly 4:30am, planted the flag and no cars to be found….4:35am hit which was the meeting time for the Insomnia EC. At that point, no cars and YHC was reserved to sleeping in Knight Rider until Farva arrived at 5:30 to tap on the driver’s side window to wake me up. As I went to look down at my phone one last time, lights started to appear in my rear view mirror from Stinson. He showed up…

“Sorry, I’m late Mookie,” says Redenbacher

“Yeah- so am I”…”I was hoping you wouldn’t show. This might be a terrible idea, but let’s do it.” I strapped on the headlamp and the light up vest. After a series of forgetful moments…did I lock the car, I don’t need my earbuds, it was starting to drizzle a bit.

Redenbacher says, “Hang on one second…sorry,” from his trunk. He’s ripping off some much sought after 2-ply, knowing that there could be some emergency gross weight adjustment later in the run. Honestly, have never experienced the need to drop a few sharks in the woods during a run…until this morning. We’ll get to that later. With that, Redenbacher and I went straight down Stinson and across the street to the neighborhood that abuts Holly Grove. As we were not running Tobacco, we figured we’d pay tribute to the flat route of ATT and the track was a perfect mix of flat concrete surrounded by trees. After about the 3rd lap, Redenbacher had to investigate a space behind the white shed, while putting his 2-ply to use. YHC continued around the track and was later rejoined with Redenbacher until we were at about 4 miles. Exited the track and then back out to Holly Springs Road and that is when I felt it.

Informed Redenbacher that we may need to stop at Lowe’s, but unfortunately was still too early and was not open. Picked up the pace and proceeded down Earp and then a left on Raleigh, back to Womble. Never knew how the extreme need to R4TJ could be until I reached Raleigh St. and had to tighten my gait for fear of letting a kit kat loose. Stopped the watch, took a quick pit stop and noticed we were about a little less than a mile short of the 7.1mi needed. At that point, it was 5:50am and PAX started rolling in. Bufford and Dauber, followed by Oboe, Vasoline, Nemo, and Slide Rule. Java’s car was already parked along with Farva’s so must have been on their Ruck.

Welcomed everybody and got going with the following workout.. As we were doing a quick lap around the lot, we see UTI coming in hot and made it just in time for the following exercises..

Warm Up: Lunge walks, Frankensteins, Imperial Walkers X10, Hillbillies X10, Daisy Pickers X10, Good Mornings X10, Prisoner Squats X10, with a squat hold as I explained the route.

The Workout: Dauber was the solo 3-mi rucker this morning and had a route picked out that would get him back to the lot in time for Mary. For the runners, we’d stick to pavement as YHC didn’t trust the footing at the lake with the early morning rain. We’d do a modified NH (the graphic on strava kinda looks like NH). Took PAX the long way left around the baseball fields of Womble and onto Grigsby. From Grigsby we would head up Raleigh Street to Jones Park and then on to Veterans, heading to the back side of Ting EC, around Artic Ridge and then back onto the greenway, proceeding straight up Skymont. As we ventured up Skymont through Rhamkhatte Village we’d make a right back onto Holly Springs Rd, then onto Raleigh back to the flag.

At the start of the run, YHC was just starting to settle in with Redenbacher not far behind. Really good group of PAX this morning, each with varying speeds which made some good pairings throughout the run. Big shout outs to all PAX, especially Nemo, Oboe, and Vasoline for continued pick ups of the six. Honestly, that was the only way I think Redenbacher and I finished the last few miles this morning. Also shout out to Buford who provided a nice even pace through Jones and Veterans. Legs were getting fatigued as we approached Skymont and keeping the light up vests within eye shot made all the difference.

Mary: Arrived about 13min late to Mary, but were greeted by PAX upon return. Dauber I think wanted to hand me a bottle of geritol, noting that i’m slowing down in my old age.

Announcements: Banana Seat and Pikachu ALS challenge. Check out slack
T-Claps (Recognition): All PAX getting out there today for ruck and running miles. Redenbacher for holding me accountable to get that 13.1 in this morning. PAX picking up the six as well as Dauber, UTI, and Slide Rule for making sure I did not miss out in conducting Name-O-Rama.

Prayer: All those affected by COVID-19. Continued health to PAX and families. Continued prayers for Crab Legs. Prayers for Forceps and his family. YHC took us out.

2nd F held at Sir Walter, where Redenbacher and YHC had to run to as we were about 1 mi short of the 13.1. After a series of loops in front of the library, DownTown Train, and Main Street we wrapped up what we set out to do this morning and were greeted by PAX and some quality mumblechatter. Skidmark even came out to join us.

A solid morning, Men! Thanks for the opportunity to lead.

Merica, where Democracy rules

FNGs: Not Today

YHC decided to leave it up to the PAX to vote on the route for the day. The only stipulation, was you had to HC for the vote to count.  The lackluster vote was tallied, and Little Dipper won 2 votes to 1….C’mon Guys, we had 15 and only got 3 HC votes! #bringbackthehc
Warm Up: Mosey to the middle of the road for SSH, IW, Frankenstein, High Knees and Karaoke
The Workout: 5 Mile loop out to Womble and back.

So foggy at R4TJ, no John to be found

A moist, damp, foggy and traffic filled R4TJ this morning as 15 PAX set out to face the gloom, literally.  Nice work men, all back in safe and sound!

FNGs: none

EC: Nemo, Redenbacher

Warm Up: 15 PAX circle up for some good mornings, SSH x 20, daisy pickers x 10, imperial walkers x 10 and light hammy stretching

The Workout: 12 took on the 5+ mile reverse Crossway route, carefully dodging cars in the fog.  3 PAX headed out on the 3 mile route and then back to Ting.  Various pick ups of the 6 along the way.  Cowboy the recipient of a nice honk from a driver clearly not paying attention this morning.

Mary: none, this is a running AO 🙂

Announcements: Run for Dee Dee, traffic continues to pick up on the feeder road between Main St and Hwy. 55 in the Ting parking lot – keep an eye out for those cars

T-claps: to Pablo for helping pick up the six

Yo Joe! 13 PAX take on Cobra Commander and Embrace the Suck..

Q Tour continues and this week found YHC close to home with a trip to Purple Cobra. Pre-Blast for this week’s workout showed a picture of a contemplative Cobra Commander from the early 80’s GI Joe cartoon. He was sitting on a Cobra throne exploring any one of a dozen highly ‘motivating’ possibilities. This was how YHC was feeling Monday morning, trying to keep with theme of changing things up and keeping the planned workouts on tour unique.

As a product of the 80’s, I used to watch GI Joe religiously. Back in the day Cobra Commander used to put Duke and the boys in compromising situations inflicting his wrath of terror. This dude was a straight up a$$hol3. Not exactly what was trying to lay down this morning for PAX, but it was gonna suck and we were gonna make all 45 minutes count.  Nemo and Pots approached YHC as he was working through the Weinke he put together asking for a heads up about this morning’s plan, the following exchange went something like this…

Nemo- “Hey Mookie, what kind of a pre-blast can you give us about this morning”

YHC- “Did you read the pre-blast with Cobra Commander?”

Nemo- “Yes- I used to love GI Joe”

YHC- “Yeah, Cobra Commander was such a dick, right?”

Nemo- “Yeah he was..”

YHC- “There’s your pre-blast”

At this point a crowd started to form. DawgPound, Redenbacher, and 187 were finishing the last steps of their EC runs. Dumbo fresh off a Disney vacation came rolling in with Pablo. We even got a visit from Rainmaker, who noted he was starting back up to posting again. Both site Q’s-Warbucks and Foghorn showed, along with Bobby Dall.  Lucky Charms was also present and accounted for.

5:30am hit and it was showtime..

Warm Up: YHC lead PAX with a nice brisk jog down the parking lot and up along Sunset Lake Rd via the side walk and back down to the Wells Fargo lot where we circled up for the following exercises.. SSH X25, Imperial Walkers X10, Hillbillies X10, Good Mornings in Cadence X 10, Fazio 10F\10B, Seal Claps X10.. 2 Burpees OYO, mosey to the next corner of the lot 4 Burpees OYO, mosey to the far corner of the lot 6 Burpees OYO, and one more final mosey to the last corner for 8 Burpees OYO back to the start. Mosey’d out of the lot and formed 2 lines, one behind YHC and one behind 187.

The Workout: Led PAX behind Harris Teeter in dual Indian Runs to the loading dock behind the cleaners and pet store. Instructed PAX to grab a rock for each hand similar in weight and ones that they can easily grip. These will be your rocks for the series of exercises YHC had planned. All PAX gathered rocks and remained on plank with rocks in hand while waiting on the six.

Rock Webbs (1:2 Ratio)

YHC called for a series of Rock Webbs, where PAX would perform Merkins with hands over rocks, which were on the ground. After 1 Merkin, we’d rock press to 2 in cadence. YHC took PAX to 5 Merkins and 10 Rock Presses for now, saving the best for last for later. Upon completion, instructed PAX to the walls for a set of Balls to the Wall X20 in Cadence. PAX returned to their rocks and with a “Let’s go… Bring your rocks,” from YHC and we were off to the ramp for some exercises and sprints.

Rock Solid Merkin Sprints

Partner Up…

Round 1

Partner 1 at Bottom of Ramp performs Rock Presses (AMRAP)

Partner 2 Sprints Up the ramp to just before the intersection, performs 5 merkins, sprints back (switch)

Round 2

Partner 1 at Bottom of Ramp performs Rock Lateral Raises (AMRAP)

Partner 2 Sprints Up the ramp to just before the intersection, performs 10 merkins, sprints back (switch)

Round 3

Partner 1 at Bottom of Ramp performs Rock Front Raises (AMRAP)

Partner 2 Sprints Up the ramp to just before the intersection, performs 15 merkins, sprints back (switch)

Round 4

Partner 1 at Bottom of Ramp performs Rock Rows (AMRAP)

Partner 2 Sprints Up the ramp to just before the intersection, performs 20 merkins, sprints back (switch)

Out of all the planned items for this morning, this next decision was the most questionable. YHC instructed PAX to drop their rocks and get back into their lines for another dual Indian Run. This time the lines would flow into the Planet Fitness lot and around all 4 corners. YHC was not planning for the parade of sad clowns rolling in around 5:50 to water their Ferns at Planet Fitness this morning, which detoured our lines slightly to side walks and out of harms way. All still accounted for and back to the rocks. PAX grabbed rocks and mosey’d back to the loading dock with a plank hold for the six.

Finish What We Started..Rock Webbs continued.

When all PAX were in, YHC continued his Rock Webb count to 6 Merkins 12 Rock Presses (IC). At 8 Merkins and 16 Rock Presses, instructed PAX back to the walls for Balls to the Wall IC X20 and an extra People’s Chair X10 IC. Back to the rocks and then continued 9 Merkins 18 Rock Presses IC. At that point, YHC got up and hadn’t gotten in 2 steps before Oliver Twist in the form of DawgPound demanded that we couldn’t end that way. “Please sir, I want some more” is what he said although I could be mistaken as I was somewhat hallucinating after that 18 count. That’s the thing about accountability, you’ll have dudes call you out if you don’t finish what you started….Here we go Dawgpound, just for you..10 Merkins 20 Rock Presses (IC). YHC was never so glad to return rocks at an AO in his life. Shoulders at this point were on fire.. I think at one point this last series had affected Dumbo to the point of confusion as his Merkins and Rock Presses looked more like Squats.

2 lines…Let’s Go. Indian Runs to back beyond the flag to the spot where Mary would be performed. Before we got to Mary, we had one more series. Plank hold for the six..

Merkin Tap Jail Break

From plank, PAX performed a series of 10 Merkins, hold, then transitioned to Shoulder Taps X20 IC, mosey 70 yards down the lot. Plank hold for the six. From plank, 10 more Merkins and 20 Should Taps in cadence. YHC usually likes a good jail break at the end of Cobra, so that’s what we did.

Mary: LBC X20, Low Slow Flutter X20, Homer to Marge X20, Pickle Pounders X20, Pigeon Stretches, Downward Dog, one last Shawshank.
Announcements: YHC needs someone to cover Ivan as he had a conflict. Potts later volunteered to cover Q. Check him out on Friday!
T-Claps (Recognition): All PAX pushing each other this morning and holding each other accountable, including YHC. 187, Redenbacher, and DawgPound for getting some EC.
Prayer: Continued Prayers for Forceps and his family. Prayers for Wiggly and his family. First Responders and Military. All Unspoken. YHC took us out!

Always an honor to lead. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity this morning!

Where My Dogs At? Good Guy Miles for 4 PAX at AGS..

No Q Tour travels this morning for YHC. It’s Sunday and as site Q of AGS, there was planning involved, but nothing that would require a walk through. Pre-Blast offered ‘Good Guy’ miles, nothing too crazy, no hill repeats, no Crossway, no slippery bridges…just straight flat road miles for all those in need of a shake out run from the day before, figuring there may be a need given the Strava feeds. A 3 mi EC was also planned for those in need of extra mileage. Certainly, YHC was in need of more miles this week having traveled on Monday and Tuesday, but who else would show?

Only received an Aquaman “SC” from the night before and a M4L- “Asking for a friend” rucking request, but you probably know how that ends.

Arrived to Womble around 5:20. Redenbacher was already there. Planted the flag, grabbed the light up vest and we were off. A nice even paced jaunt up Stinson to Rogers St. and then onto Main past Sir Walter (where M4L would have stopped for coffee if he showed for the ruck) and behind the parking deck where Ivan meets. Have big plans for that AO this coming Friday after taking a closer look at the surroundings this morning. Proceeded straight past Downtown Train and then a right on Earp, following all the way to a right on Bass Lake and then Stinson back to the flag. Arrived back to see 2 new cars parked in the lot.

Oboe had just pulled up and the owner of the other vehicle was stretching on the curb. At first YHC had thought it was Sprinkler. As I arrived closer, I didn’t recognize the face and did a double take. Could it be? “Hi, I’m Keith,” he said.  The past 3 weeks have yielded 2 new FNG’s at AGS. Shout out to Farva for headlocking “Keith” this morning to join this thing we call F3.

5:28 and still no sign of any other PAX. Where my dogs at?….YHC gets it. There were alot of miles yesterday and Sunday’s are typically a day of rest for many, but would like to see some more folks on Sunday over the next few weeks. Gave our FNG the disclaimer and warmed up with the following series of exercises

FNGs: Welcome Vasoline. YHC, Redenbacher, and Oboe had a tough time with the naming ceremony this morning. We really needed Dawgpound on this one. Vasoline works in the beverage\soft drink industry with Farva and tried to come up with obscure soda references to start. After a few minutes between teetering on Shasta and Fresca, and a beverage called Moxie that YHC came up with that neither Oboe or Redenbacher had heard of, we then started asking about sports teams and favorite bands. Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots came up and we settled on the STP classic- Vasoline.

Warm Up: Light jog around the lot. Frankensteins and lunge walks to the middle. Carioca L\R, R\L. Circled up for Imperial Walkers X10, Hillbillies X10, Morocan Night Clubs X10, GM’s X10, Fazio 10F\10B, Prison Squats X10, Squat Hold while YHC explained the route.

The Workout: From the tennis courts, PAX would proceed the long way around the baseball fields and up Grigsby to the neighborhood on the right of the Sugg Farm gate. Follow it down to the greenway and then a right to follow the newer greenway extension back to Grigsby. Followed Grigsby past Stinson and a left on Rogers St., past Main and behind to Earp (just like the EC route), but a right back on to Raleigh St. and then Stinson back to the flag. PAX got between 4-5mi with several pick ups of the six.

Mary: Stretches- Pigeons, Downward Dogs, Right over Left, Left over Right.  All while watching a tremendous sunrise.

Announcements: Forceps’ son’s memorial service is Saturday, Feb 29th at Hope Church from 12-2. Check Slack for updates.
T-Claps (Recognition): All PAX getting out this morning in the cold and putting the work in.

Prayer: Prayers for Forceps and his family. Wallaby and those battling substance issues. All military and first responders. YHC took us out.

Go fast, turn Left

5 men braved the “wintry weather” (if 60 degrees and a misty rain qualifies as wintry weather) to get faster at R4tJ.  YHC took the Q Sheet after Banana Seats bulletin to fill it up and figured “Go run a route” wasn’t as much fun as doing something different.

FNGs: No sir
Warm Up: Red needed to lighten the load after EC, so we did some SSH / Good Morning / etc
The Workout:
Cones set up at 40 / 100 / 200 / 300/ 800 (ish) .  Run hard, then recover across the parking lot, then run to next cone.  Go up, then down the ladder as time allows.

Seemed like everyone pushed themselves pretty hard, nice job men.
Mary: Wasn’t invited
Announcements: Long Ass Run
T-Claps (Recognition): Gotta love Red getting the rocket boost and supporting the namesake
Prayer: Forceps, Lipstick, Crab Legs

Wait…What did Sprinkler just say?.. 8 PAX Get Some Laughs and Rock Work at GP

Q Tour Bus had YHC’s next stop at Ground Pounder. Home of the best mumblechatter in SouthWake. Saturday morning’s exchanges definitely did not disappoint. Loving this Q tour thing and getting to know PAX I typically do not see at the AO’s normally frequented. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to post and have a few 2nd F’s with Sprinkler. All I can say is this guy is hilarious if you ever have some time to be stationary with the guy and just talk. Most of my exchanges with him have been at U-Turn runs and a single run at AGS, but after a few coffee stops has me feeling that he needs to Q somewhere soon, and when he does, I’ll be one of the first to HC.

Rolled in early as has been the case at the other AO’s. YHC has been here before, but usually see something I haven’t noticed and always looking for ways to change things up. As I rolled in, I saw Redenbacher’s car parked along the fence side spaces, but no Redenbacher in site. Planted flag and began ‘chalking’ the parking lot with the exercise circuit we’d perform for this edition of Ground Pounder. As I was finishing up with the chalk, I see Redenbacher coming in in the distance. Solid EC+ Uturn and then back for a double down. He wasn’t looking right and later explained that he had a few splashes of merlot on the runs this morning, but was gonna stick it out and have some fun with rocks.

Cars started rolling in carrying Shredder, DOA, Schroeder, Fanny Pack, Sprinkler. We later got a visit from Midget, who had texted YHC that he’d be coming in hot from this morning’s Whiplash in Raleigh. A solid 8 this morning.

Friggin Cold was the forecast this morning not exactly pleasant for rock work, but we decided to get warmed up quickly. First time this week I broke a promise to PAX regarding the workout. I promised no running, but had to get a light mosey in to get the blood circulating. It was a skinny lap so no harm no foul.

Warm Up: Circled up for SSH’s X20, Good Morning’s X10, Imperial Walkers X10, Hillbillies X10, Bat Wings 20 Fazio F\B, Overhead, Seals. Morocan Nightclubs. Mumblechatter started to brew as we moved over to the rock pile to pick out a few gems.

The Workout: Instructed PAX to find a nice rock, one they’d be comfortable with doing a series of full body exercises with. There would be 7 stations this morning, with some Cusacks and Bear Crawls in between.

Station 1: All with Rock

Squats X20 on YHC’s Up and Down

Squat Presses X20 on YHC’s Up and Down

One of the lessons YHC has to learn is to not be so serious when he Q’s. I have a tendency to get too focused on the cadence and exercise count that I miss all of the quality mumblechatter that goes on. As I got half way through the squat press count, Midget started some exchange about how Sprinkler is going to put out “Fanny’s” fire on this posting challenge. From there, it escalated to something about some famous actor guy, Ron J. Eremy something, and then later punctuated by the Merriam-Webster-Shredder definition of the word “Indefinitely.”

Finished up this station with Upright rows X20

Cusack’d to Station 2

Station 2: All with Rock

-Ground Pounders X15

-Simba’s X5 left to right\right to left

-Wonder Bras X20 in cadence

Cusack’d to Station 3 (Playground)

Station 3:  (Playground) All with Rock

-Uneven Merkins on Rock X10

Derkins X10  in Cadence with slaps on each side of the rock (kind of like extra shoulder taps) before moving back in starting position

Dips with Rock X15

Cusack to Station 4

Station 4: All with Rock

-Overhead Presses X20

-2 Handed Front Raises X15 (modify exercise is more upright rows if rock too heavy)

-Tricep Extensions X20

Station 5: All with Rock

“Nemos”

-Start at top curl half way X25

-Start at bottom curl half way X25

-Start at bottom all way to top X25 (all exercises in cadence)

YHC advised PAX to switch out rocks with a smaller version. One that would be challenging for “Bus Drivers”

Station 6: (Back side of the bathrooms along the wall)

-Peoples Chair with Bus Drivers X15 in cadence

-Balls to the wall X20 in cadence

-Peoples Chair with Bus Drivers X15 in cadence

YHC advised PAX to partner up and pick a rock they’d both be comfortable with in plank position.

Station 7:

Partner 1- Planked with Rock; Partner 2- Bear Crawl 20 yard to the next speed bump; mosey back

Rinse\Repeat

Back to the rock pile for 2 burn out sets  of curls and tricep extensions X30 and X29 in cadence respectively (short changed PAX on that last rep. Lost count).

Mary: Series of Pigeon Stretches, Downward Dog transition to upright position. Good Mornings X10, Right leg over Left; Left Leg over Right. Planks, Low Slow Flutter X20, LBC X20, Pickle Pounders X20 all in cadence. Have a nice day!

Announcements: Check slack for 3rd F opportunities

T-Claps (Recognition): All those posting to U-Turn and Whiplash with a Double Down today. Additionally, the 8 PAX today posting in 28 degree cold and putting up with YHC’s rock workout.

Prayer: Moment of silence for Forcep’s son. Additionally prayers for Forceps and his family. Sprinkler took us out.

Uturn DRP

FNGs: None
Warm Up:

Circled up for the following.

Bounce while YHC explained the format for today’s run.  The 3 milers will start at 6:25 and will be lead by Sprinkler.  The 5 milers will go out together and will have three pick ups.  The first one being in 12 Oaks at the circle. The idea here is that this would be a long pickup but should be safer than Old Apex Holly Springs road.  The second pickup would be at the corner of Irving and Green Oaks.  The last pick up would be at the end.  The hope/goal was that all pax would finish at roughly the same time.

Foot traces in both directions
Frankensteins
Hip Openers

The Workout:

We ran.  Seriously for Uturn what do guys put in this section.

Mary:

Cirlced up for runners pose, and pigeon stretch.

Announcements:

Next Saturday is the ATT Long ass run.
Holly Springs Food Cupboard will be held the second week of October

Q Source Message of the day:

Q 1.1 DRP (Daily Red Pill)

The daily commitment to accelerate Fitness, Fellowship and Faith

A man can not get right on their own.

“Going it alone, the Mascot is doomed to fail because no man can disengage the death grip he holds on his own status quo.  Absent a Disrupter, a man willing and able to create a disturbance in his enervated life, he will remain just as he is, clinging to the capsized boat of his life and incapable of initiating the Movement required to Get Right.”

Mascot is a symbol of a something rather than the something itself.

The first disturbance the Disrupter makes in the life of the Mascot is to elicit Commitment.

The mascot has to commit to Movement, not just its appearance.

He must decide to turn Pro rather than continue life as an Amateur
