7 Pax and an ominous 🦉 braved the rain.

EC: 2 miles; Beater, r22, Shredder

Warm Up: light jog  around the parking lot and then PAX circled up.  Side straddle hop. Moroccan night clubs, Fazio arm circles front and back and then all over again backwards. Michael Phelps. Wind mills. Good mornings. All in cadence.
The Workout: Traveled; move one, one irkin. Lunges between knee walls.   Pause for squat kicks. 2nd round of traveling; move one, one arm irkins. Lunges between. Mosey.

One round of 150 strikes. Dos e doe. Block and enter. Block, enter, trap. Capoeira push-ups.

Announcements: F3 Southwake region. Prayer: we talked about intentionality, “picking up the six” outside of the gloom AND who’s got your six? Prayers for those deployed, family members who’ve passed away, those fighting cancer and serious illnesses, and for Beater’s friend’s daughter.

18 PAX for a KG beatdown. Lots of visitors to South Park. Making new memories together, how sweet. Lots of mumble chatter today but YHC let the boys cut up some. Let’s play!

Black snake run around track and rec center ending near court.

-Squatted morracan night club into overhead claps into out front claps x10 IC each
-Deconstructed burpees (10 squats, 10 leg thrusts, 10 Merkins, 10 leg thrusts, 10 up jumps) put it together for 5 oyo burpees proper form
-Jump lunges x10 IC
-Carolina dry docks x10 IC

Grab 3 rocks total for exercise
Circle of American Hammers with rocks
-pax sits in circle facing out. Passes 3 rocks around circle while doing AH. YHC haults, rest, R&R other direction

Mosey over to agility ladders

Ladders: 2 groups at opposite sides
one man does ladder down, burpee at end, turn around come back. Q will call ladder exercise down and different one back
PAX does called exercises AMRAP until group is complete
Rd1 Worst merkin ever

Cones – partners meet in middle, run opposite of each other doing cone pattern to other side of circle for back broke merkins x10 and switch (back broke style is the bottom man does the merkins with partners planked feet on top of upper back causing resistance) 3 rds for total of 60 reps per person

Warmup-Jog around the front of the school to the side lot, circle up for 22 reps of SSH, Imperial Walkers/Hillbillies, Good Mornings, Windmills and Merkins

Main Event– Off to the rock pile to choose a workout partner, John Cusack back to the parking lot. Circle up for around the rock world. Set of 22 reps Curls for the girls, Groundpounders, rotate 2 rocks to the right, Triceps extensions and Overhead press. Rotate 2 rocks to the right Traveling Merkins and Lo-Slow flutter with the rock over your head. Rotate 2 rocks to the right Sumo Squats and Trunk twisters. Rotate 2 rocks to the right, Curls for the girls and Wunderbras.

Mosey back to the rock pile to return the rocks and off to the loading dock. 22 rep count of V-ins with feet off the dock, Australian Mountain Climbers, Big Boy Sit ups and Australian Mountain Climbers

Mosey back to the front of the school for some Pig on a Stick. Split into 2 groups of 4, 2 men carry the while one man is dangling from it. The 4 th member is performing walking lunges alongside as we travel around the circle in the front of the school. Each group performed 2 laps while rotating the walker, the pig and the lunge.

No Nutcracker on Christmas day 12/25

Sun Dec 23 rd (Breach) is hosting an Open House “Bottle” share at his house. All are welcome, tapping some of the high octane stuff and some special reserves. Bring a bottle of your favorite to share with others. Starts at 2:00pm, come and go as you please.

Slide Rule is working on some things for the 3 rd F in 2019, the plan being let’s get our stuff together. More to follow.

Prayers– Ausfart is recovering but has a long way to go, Double D prayer for his wife’s speedy recovery.

Message: Be intentional, reach out to friends and family let them know how you feel as time is not infinite. No one is guaranteed tomorrow so life in the moments of today. This is the time of year we should be connecting with those that we haven’t seen in a while.

Building Hulk Arms

17 PAX came out to a brisk and clear 40F morning in the gloom to take partake in my first Q!

Warm Up:

Mosey around the track for a 1 lap warm-up.

Good morning x 10 IC, SSH x 20 IC, Cotton pickers x 10 IC, Fazio Arm Circles (forward and back) x 10 IC, Michael Phelps, IW and HB x 10 IC

The Workout: Bring the PAIN!

Began with 5 slides in a basketball defensive stance followed by one burpee.  Rinse and repeat adding an additional burpee each time until the roundabout was reached.

Mosey’d to the rockpile and each PAX picked out a rock and circled up for some heavy lifting.  Q called an audible and had PAX rotate to the right and workout with another PAX’s selected rock.  Proceeded with the workout – Curls for the girls, overhead triceps, ruh-rohs, and rock merkins (10 with left left hand on rock and switched for 10 more with right hand on rock).

Returned rocks and mosey’d to picnic shelter for some irkins, dirkins, merkins, and dips.  Performed 10 count of each exercise IC.  Some mubble chatter about a 10 count but Q continued on with a rinse and repeat.

Finished out the beat-down with three rounds of Balls to the Walls and Preacher Chairs for 30 seconds each exercise.

Sheepdog- Q Round up

Warm Up: Pax rotated through leading; SSH, IW&HBs, Windmills, Fasio Arm Circles, Merkins, Dirkins and Erkins. 
The Workout: Burpee Box Jumps, then traveled along the brick knee wall. each third shift, three merkins. Lunges between knee walls, and three burpees at each end. Rinse and repeat with a session of Sticky Fingers inbetween. Ended with a review of last weeks armbar. 
Mary: LBCs and 6” leg hold.

F3 Breakdancing Bust

13 total PAX posted at Kenny’s Grave. We had 3 that showed a couple mins late so YHC was feeling gracious and PAX did 3 burpees for the penalty. 12 Oaks clown car rolled in to join the KG fun today. Here we go.

Warm up – lap around parking lot with normal agility exercises
Use parking curbs for high knees, 2 passes
Over to tennis courts for some ladders, 3 passes on double ladders

Was hoping at least one HIM would know how to sweep the leg. Had laughs trying.

– Ladder wheel barrows with quick hands in boxes. Switch partners (3 rounds variations)

The Workout: Mosey to the four-square courts/hill for 11’s of Merkins, BB Sit-ups with a Burpees ladder at the top of the hill included (totalling 55 of each exercise); Mosey to pick up CMUs (blocks) and on to the parking lot – partner 1 run a block to the end of the parking lot while partner 2 AMRAP exercises with a block. When partner 1 returns, switch and partner 2 runs to the end of the parking lot and retrieves the block while partner 1 AMRAPS – rounds of exercises included Curls (2X), Block Squats, Overhead Press, Block Swing, Bent Row, Shoulder-to-Shoulder, Tricep Extension, and block Monkey Humpers. Stopped in the middle to ‘rest’ with 55 Low Slow Flutter IC. Mosey back and return blocks.

The Workout: Ring of Fire; Pax cranked out 1000 strikes while rotating through various workouts; merkins, dips, squats, squat kicks, & crab toe touches.

Cold and clear in the gloom today. PAX of 7 got warm rather quickly. Here’s how.

Warm up lap in parking lot with Carioca

Burpee mile on track
Run .25 do 12 burpees, repeat 3 more times. Total 1 mile 48 burpees

Wheel of merkins – use curb and no sharing. 10 each, total 40 merkins
Baby dips x20 IC

Curb side hops with sumo squat in between curb line 4:1. 10 sets
Rinse and repeat with forward/backward hops over parking curb and squat

Air press shoulder taps 1:4 ratio. Stopped at 7:28 ratio for time

Breach on the Q

Warm Up:  Jog around the front parking lot and circle up for 20 counts: Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Good Mornings, Frankensteins and Side Straddle Hops.

The Workout: Every man grabs a block, the block cannot touch the ground unless its part of the exercise or the pax drops for 10 merkins

John Cusack over to the side lot and circle back up for 20x Curls for the girls, Tricep extensions and goblet squats

Block on the shoulder and mosey to the loading dock, 20x big boy sits up with feet in the block, 10 counts Blockees, 20 count peoples chair with a block in the lap and 20 count balls to the wall on top of the block.

Block on the shoulder mosey over to the basketball court for some Blocktamano. Pax circles up and holds block out in front of themselves, one man drops his block and runs around the circle hitting each block as he runs by until he gets back to his block. Each pax member runs around the circle, first clockwise, then counter-clockwise. Paused for 20 count derkins called out by Flannigan.

Block on the shoulder, mosey back to the front of the school and circle up for Block Webs to 5.
