Wafers

Well this one could have turned out several ways. Walked outside this morning to a breezy post rain dark morning. Great, I think this is gonna be windy. Loaded up the Tailwind for 187 and I, checked that the camelback was sealed, and hopped in the truck. Arrived at Ting to a great group of men waiting for a pleasant level of excitement. As 187 grabbed the goods, the joy of calories diminished when he realized he forgot his camelback at home. Shovel flags planted.

Warm Up: Short job, IW, Hillbillies, High Knees, Frankensteins
The Workout: Run the HSHM course. – Lipstick had to shit <1 mile into the run. Ice cream will do that to a lactose intolerant person. Somehow H1N1, R22, and Farva ended up on crossway, Yellow card needed a pee break, M4L just ran where ever. Despite the situations, this is one crazy fast group of men. Honored to run with you. I’ve added men that ran U-Turn, started early, or ran lifetime. Let me know if I forgot you.

EC: McStuffins, Cowboy, Deadbolt and 187

Warm Up: Job to east parking lot – SSH x 20IC, Moracin Night Club x 10IC,  Arm stretches, Plank Jacks x 10IC
The Workout: Started with a nice long stroll around the parking lot – Wheel Barrel style that is; it was long.  Then, Deadbolt said that was not enough arms work, so we did Broke Back Derkins with a 10 count at 3 laps.  Lucky thought that was super easy so next we did the Merkin Shuffle.  Now that our arms were loose we did 7’s across the parking lot with Derkins and Dips.  We jogged to the tennis courts to do Jack Webb’s with a 1:3 ratio; thought we had time to do 20; but we only got to 10.
Mary: we can say it was the Jack Webb’s
Announcements: Saturday at Ting – LifeTime run (F3 will start at 6:30 the LifeTime run is later at seven).
Prayer: Our Law Enforcement Officers, CragLegs, Clay, Military, Unspoken

Dazed and Confused

Nemo had been out all week due to illness. Still wasn’t 100% but knew I needed to get back out there and sometimes a good sweat helps speed up recovery. I was a little dazed and confused, and had serious vocal deficiency, but as always the PAX picked me up as needed and we had a solid Disney post.

EC alive and well with Nemo, Deadbolt and Warbucks on the run.  Oh, and I think 187 was there too but he was so far gone I never really had visual proof he ran the loop.  Strong pace out there this morning 187.

Warm Up: Quick lap around the soccer fields followed by SSH and Good Mornings. On the jog to the baseball lots we worked in a Warm-Up-o-Rama.
The Workout: Looking for some balance we headed off into the dark to the Abyss. Partnered up with partner 1 running down and up while partner 2 did an exercise. This was not a Dora and there was no count.  It was all about form and quality, as well as personal accountability.  Each did sets of the following – merkins, squats and LBC – with the alternating lap of the stairs this added up to 9 round trips on the stairs.
Mary: Jog back to the start for plank-o-rama
Announcements: HSHM practice run Saturday, many great options to post Fri, looking for pushers for 5k Sunday, PSA from New Mexico to promote reduced speeding in neighborhoods (this is a big problem in Woodcreek as well)
Prayer: Family in Indiana that lost their children to a car accident while they were walking to the bus, Crablegs, brothers on the IR to get better.  New Mexico took us out in prayer with a much appreciated moment of silence to start – always great to have New Mexico out there for the hard work and presence he brings.

HSHM practice run this Saturday. Start at Ting park at 6:30am. Lifetime fitness will be sponsoring run starting at 7am.

Speed4Need. City of Oaks 5k, half and full marathon.  Need people to help push chariots.

Discussed “change” and the importance of being able to change your thoughts. One thing that is always constant is change.  We can not control situations, people or things.  We can just change our thoughts.  Instead of “why me” we should change our thought to “what am I going to learn from this”.
Prayer:

Prayers to Double D and family, Dogpound’s wife and family.

Circled up. Group was “ENERGIZED” with activity. The quickest way to change our emotions is by changing our thought.

Thanks for allowing me to lead today gentlemen.  Always an honor!

EC streak alive with Nemo, Deadbolt, 187, Pablo and Warbucks doing the standard loop

Warm Up: Jog around the soccer fields and circle up in starting lot for the usual including Good Mornings, SSH, Mt. Climbers, Fazio Arm Circles, and another set of SSH.  Shifted to some leg stretch to close it out.
The Workout: On the jog to back corner of soccer fields we stopped at top of greenway hill.  Partnered up for a brutal set.  Partner 1 was on the run to bottom of hill and back while Partner 2 was AMRAP select exercise.  We did this 5 freaking times.  Exercise order was merkins, burpees, squats, SSH and air press – this was all about pushing yourself to a limit. After each Partner completed each of the 5 exercises and 5 laps on the hill, we recovered on the jog back to the parking lot where we found the wall and alternated BTTW and dips on the bench.  5 rounds, again, working up from a 10 count to a 14 count.
