Standard PC lap around the gas station and circled up for:

The Workout:

Lined up for an Indian run behind Harris Teeter and over to the Goodwill parking lot. PAX partnered up for a Dora style workout.
Partner 1 did exercises while partner 2 runs to end of the dead end section of Lassiter and back to Goodwill until all exercises were completed. Dora consisted of:

100 Star Jumps
200 LBC’s
300 Prisoner Squats

Rinse and Repeat:

100 Merkins
200 WW II
300 Freddy Mercury

Quick feet on the curbs and mosey back to the flag

Warm Up:  Random Counts of Fazio Arm Circles, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, SSH, Merkins
The Workout:  Rock work in the parking lot

2X rock push and duck walk across the parking lot

Several rounds of tricep extentions, curls for the girls, goblet squats, and overhead press while rotating and sharing everyone’s rock.

Indian Run around the baseball fields

Modified Morning call at the play ground – Pax performing Clock Merkins while one Pax performs pull-ups until everyone had a turn

BRR Taper

4 pax at tiger blood for an 87 workout in honor of Crosby’s return to the gloom.

EC: UTI, 187, Skidmark

FNGs: none
Warm Up: well Christmas dinner made a hard pass through the Q. Mosey to the port-a-John. Pax did warmup and Q did a squat hold. There were some pickle pounders, plank jacks, Hillbillies, imperial walkers, fozio arm circles, overhead claps, seal claps, and SSH.

The Workout: Mosey back the parking lot. Pax did 8 squats on one side and 7 merkins on the other side of the lot with a different movement between the sites. Pax did lunge walks, duck walks, side shuffles, burpee long jumps, bear crawls. All squats and merkins done all the Q down and up.

We tried pickle pounder crawls. Pax did 5 pickle pounders and then crawl in the chill cut position, so on and so forth.
Mary: 15 count exercises around the circle.

Field Trip

Warm Up:SSH, Daisy Pickers, Frankenstein kicks and off we went
The Workout:2 group indian run to downtown. On the way out, 20 merkins at every intersection, every other bench was either 20 dips or 20 derkins (there are way more benches downtown than you think).

On the way back, benches either 20 squats or 20 LBCs IC and 20 more LBCs IC at every intersection.

Stoped at the beginning of Stinson and partnered up. While one held Chill Cut the other ran 2 poles down and back, then both would run down 2 poles and start over until we reached the Ivan lot for Mary. 2.5 miles were covered.

Cletus gets a UTI (╬ ಠ益ಠ)

It’s been a spell since Yogurt EH’d me for this Q.  I want to thank him for bringing me this opportunity.  I’m again very humbled by the turnout today.  Whether it was for me specifically or Cletus was just the place you wanted to spend your Friday in the gloom – I thank you.  So close to Christmas with all of the things I know we collectively have going on, it is awesome to share the morning with you guys.  I feel humbled to have been the Q this morning and to witness it.  I hope you got your money’s worth.  The year isnt over yet!!!  SYITG <3 UTI

YHC hit the olde snooze button this morning and barely made EC.  In fact, I was late.  I chalked up nearly 2 miles in the time allowed and barely got to see any of the HIM that actually made it out there on time.  Good work PAX!

  • Groups of 5ish PAX line up in Indian Run formation.  Move to Bear Crawl position.  Indian Bear Crawl to mid lot and Jailbreak.  5 burpees.  Assume formation again and return to other side in exact same way.

  • Mozy to Amphitheater.
  • Dips, Erkins, Derkins – 20 each
  • Split PAX in 2, half on the wall for People’s Chair, half complete 20 Box Jumps and switch
  • Half on the wall for Balls2Wall, half complete 20 step-ups (10 each foot) and switch
  • Dips, Erkins, Derkins – 15 each
  • Split PAX in 2, half on the wall for People’s Chair, half complete 20 Box Jumps and switch

EC: 187 and UTI

Warm Up: Moseyed over to back portion of Planet Fitness parking lot for some warmup exercises to include cadence count Frankensteins, Fozio Arm Circles, Windmills, Good Mornings, and Imperial Walkers.

The Workout: PAX gathered at the back of the Planet Fitness parking lot facing the Butchers Market (great signature steak tips). We ran towards Butchers market, held chill cut for 60 seconds then performed 5 Merkins, 5 Squats, 5 Inverted SSH, 5 Side Plank to Merkins (crowd favorite) and then 5 Jump squats. Pax then ran back to the opposite end of the parking lot where we held chill cut for 60 seconds and increased each exercise by 5. This was rinsed and repeated until we hit the 20 rep count per each exercise.

 

PAX then Moseyed behind Harris Teeter, grabbed some pallets and did 2 rounds of  25 shoulder presses and overhead squats. Finally we headed in front of HT for 3 rounds of 25 dips on the park benches or wall.

Mary: Low Slow Flutter and Homer to Marge for 25 reps followed by 15 Straight Leg Raise.

12 Days of “Lit” Q Christmas

Q promised to keep the PAX moving this morning and move we did.  12 days of Q Christmas didn’t disappoint and we were “lit” up with the Full Moon this morning, awesome flashlight and great view this am.

ECers returned to the lot to watch Quiver, Maybelline and Tetanus roll in.  The mumble chatter was ON so it wasn’t until near start time that we started to talk about who was Qing.  Someone proclaimed that Gump was slated for the Q.  We found ourselves left high and dry like an adult man waiting for a bus with a box of chocolates in his lap.  What do you do when you find yourself waiting with a snack.  You start eating it!  Sometimes a workout can be like a box of chocolates.  The Q sheet tells you one thing but you really never know what you are going to get!

The Workout:

1st Chocolate – 187 flavored, aftertaste of exotic animals (no Dodo birds!?)

  • Duck Walk / Bear Crawl return
  • Alligator Walk with escalating Merkins / Bear Crawl return
  • Reverse Crab Walk / Bear Crawl return

2nd Chocolate – UTI flavored (ew…), the buttered popcorn jellybean of chocolates

  • Mozy towards the GCF
  • Carioca from the Christmas Tree Tent for 1/3 of the length of the lot and reverse for the next 1/3
  • Mozy Backwards until the end of the lot

How Pablo does Disney…

4 PAX, 2 for EC, decided to swallow the DRP to continue in their daily commitment to accelerate fitness, fellowship, and faith.  Q had posted a preblast commenting on the difficulty of his plans which may speak to the low attendance.  Who knows, maybe some PAX like easier workouts or they just heeded my advice to seek another AO?  Either way, 4 #HIM got stronger today seeing how Pablo does Disney…

Warm Up: All exercises in cadence: SSH x20; IW x10, HB x10, Arm Circles x10F x10R

The Workout: PAX moseyed to the back corner of the track around the soccer fields where the path forks with hill and partnered up.  Partner 1: run around the track stopping at the corners to complete 10 count merkin exercises  (corner 1 wide grip, corner 2 diamond, corner 3 regular) Partner 2: 5 burpees at the top of the hill, run to the bottom for 5 star jumps, run back to the top and repeat until partner 1 has made it all the way around the field.  Switch and repeat for 3 full circuits.  PAX then moseyed to the play ground for 2 sets of : Bulgarian split leg squats (10R 10L), 10 Derkins, 10 Erkins, 10 Dips, and 10 box jumps.  PAX moseyed to the wall at the restrooms where Partner 1 held BTTW while Partner 2 did an in cadence exercise then switch (first exercise freddie mercury x10, second exercise mountain climbers x10).  This was repeated except BTTW was changed to People’s Chair.  Mosey to the flag for Mary.

YHC arrived at 5:15 to find a few vehicles already parked at Ting, hopped out of my car to plant the flag and was instantly hit with a fresh breath of ripe air from the adjacent dump…I mean “landfill”. (Edit – Had to provide the preferred nomenclature so that PAX was not confused with the periodic dumping around town done by our very own Lipstick et al) Cars start rolling in and a few light vests arrive from the darkness….5:30 hits and we circle up.
