The Workout:

Lined up for an Indian run behind Harris Teeter and over to the Goodwill parking lot. PAX partnered up for a Dora style workout.
Partner 1 did exercises while partner 2 runs to end of the dead end section of Lassiter and back to Goodwill until all exercises were completed. Dora consisted of:

100 Star Jumps
200 LBC’s
300 Prisoner Squats

Rinse and Repeat:

100 Merkins
200 WW II
300 Freddy Mercury

ECers returned to the lot to watch Quiver, Maybelline and Tetanus roll in.  The mumble chatter was ON so it wasn’t until near start time that we started to talk about who was Qing.  Someone proclaimed that Gump was slated for the Q.  We found ourselves left high and dry like an adult man waiting for a bus with a box of chocolates in his lap.  What do you do when you find yourself waiting with a snack.  You start eating it!  Sometimes a workout can be like a box of chocolates.  The Q sheet tells you one thing but you really never know what you are going to get!

The Workout:

1st Chocolate – 187 flavored, aftertaste of exotic animals (no Dodo birds!?)

  • Duck Walk / Bear Crawl return
  • Alligator Walk with escalating Merkins / Bear Crawl return
  • Reverse Crab Walk / Bear Crawl return

2nd Chocolate – UTI flavored (ew…), the buttered popcorn jellybean of chocolates

  • Mozy towards the GCF
  • Carioca from the Christmas Tree Tent for 1/3 of the length of the lot and reverse for the next 1/3
  • Mozy Backwards until the end of the lot
  • 20x LBCs
  • Skip our way to the rock pile
  • Grab a rock, 15x Tricep Extensions, 20x Curls for the Girls, 20x One hand overhead press (10 each hand), 30x Goblet Squats
  • Repeato the Rock Workouts
  • Mozy to the ramp behind the new burger joint
  • 3x Pair off and switch – Peoples Chair / Backwards run up the ramp

Mary:  We aren’t smart men, but we know what love is… WE GAVE MARY ALL THE CHOCOLATES (Don’t tell Jenny)

  • Box Cutters (cardboard), Homer to Marge (lots of hair!?), Pickle Pounders (dill), Dying Cockroach (protein), Flutter Kicks (watered down), and at least 2 other chocolates that I can’t remember

Warm Up: 5:30 start time and  PAX moseyed over to behind the dry cleaners for some Good Mornings, Windmills, Fozio Arm Circles, Frankensteins and Imperial Walkers.

The Workout: PAX grab a pair of rocks and we moseyed over to the bottom of the hill on Lassiter road next to Town Hall Burger. PAX partnered up for 200 merkins, 200 squats, 100 straight arm raises with rocks (front raise followed by side raise was 1 rep), 200 curls, and 200 calf raises. While one partner was performing the exercise the other ran backwards up the hill to the intersection of Lassiter and Matthews and then back down for the switch out.

After that we returned the rocks, moseyed in front of HT and  did 25 OYO dips on the park benches.  About that time for Mary!

Mary: PAX all had some input for Mary doing an exercise of choice. Preblast was nixed and Burpees were on the menu.

Hallelujah Indian Run around shopping center x 2.

Gathered at loading docks for balls to the wall and peoples chair (10 count each Pax) x 2.

Grabbed rock(s) and moseyed to hill across the parking lot for 40’s. Start at bottom of hill run to top, repeat. Exercises were curls for the girls and tricep extensions.

Moseyed back to loading dock and dropped off rocks. 1 burpees OYO.

ABSolutely Intimate Pickles

YHC arrived to an empty parking lot. Flag planted, Tracer vest buckled, and a quick warm-up before heading out on what looked like a solo EC run. But 187 emerges from the darkness with a few minutes to spare. We return to find POTS and Slaughter in the parking lot chatting about the safe side of the train tracks in Greenville. Bobby Dall rolls in and with a little over a minute to go, Banana Seat makes a surprise appearance. 0530 hits and we were off for a core focused beatdown.

The Workout:
YHC advised PAX to partner up, but it turns out we didn’t need partners.

Thing 1: 4 Corners of Abs
PAX ran to corner 1, do exercise, corner 2, do exercise…, until all corners were covered. 3 rounds were performed with reps 20, 25, and 30. Some interesting mumblechatter broke out about eye contact during pickle pounders.

Carefully cross the street and head down the trail to nowhere.

Thing 2: Muddy BTTW Tunnel
YHC found some wall and instructed PAX to hold BTTW while person at the end of line bear crawls under PAX to front of line, indian run style. This was done by a few PAX, but the mud made bear crawling too slippery for 187 so we modified to bear crawl in front of PAX. After 1 round, we moved to people’s chair. Several rounds were performed. This is where YHC has a partner exercise planned, but audibled for time sake.

Mosey back toward flag and line up on long stretch of parking lot.

Thing 3: Stack-em up Hundreds
PAX found a spot on their 6 in a parking spot, out of the way of any traffic. 1 set of Hundreds was performed, then run to the other end of the parking lot for 15 merkins. Run back to other end of lot for another set of Hundreds, then back across for 15 merkins + 15 squats. Back across for 50 homer to marge + 50 LBCs (100 total) and run back across for 15 merkins + 15 squats + 15 burpees.

Time was up, so a quick mosey back to the flag for an out of breath COT.

Mary: Not today. We got plenty of core work in during workout.

Buckets of Fun

YHC arrived a few minutes early to set-up. A quick mosey to the loading dock and filled up buckets with rocks for later and returned to find Axe. 187 shows up and we’re off for EC. 187 said he was going to push his pace on the EC route and off he went. Axe and I saw him back at the flag where he was showing off his shiny crown to Pikachu. 0530 hit and YHC gave a quick disclaimer for FNG Matt and we were off. YHC misspoke during the disclaimer and told him to modify and not hurt us. Turns out this was accurate as he is a martial arts instructor in his spare time.

Group 1 grabbed a heavy rock filled bucket and carried it around Jiffy Lube while Group 2 worked through BOMBS exercises. We started at 10 for round 1, decreasing 1 rep each round down to 5.

Rocks were returned and we headed to the guardrail behind JL.

Warm Up: Mosey around the HT Lot – Remember the route… Back to the flag, circle up. Let the Mumblechatter begin… SSH x50 (we would have stopped at 41, but that was too obvious, plus UTI and Warbucks clearly had their Wheaties this morning…). Seal Claps x10, Overhead x10, Sir Fazio x10, Seal Claps x10, Overhead x10,  The entire warm up cadence was basically inaudible with the excessive mumblechatter and 41’s thrown in versus the running counts. Not to mention YHC took a rash of shit from just about everyone. Love you guys. It truly is an honor to lead.
The Workout: Two lines of 5 formed for the Bataan Death March Indian Run. Two laps around the AO with 1 PAX dropping for 5x diamond merkins and catching all the way up to the front on lap 1. Lap 2 x10.  Back to the Flag, circle up SSH x41, Seal Claps x10, Overhead x10.

Mosey to the back lot. PAX split again into two lines of 5. 1 line on the wall, other line in front. Something like this:

Lungapalooza at Purple Cobra

Warm Up: Moseyed over to the Planet Fitness parking lot for Good Mornings, Windmills, Fozio Arm Circles, Imperial Walkers and Hillbillies for 10 count. Did some 10 second stretching for the quadriceps and hamstrings.

The Workout: Lungapalooza commenced with forward lunges to various parking lot islands stopping to do standard merkins 10,20,and 30 reps. We then did reverse lunges back to starting point doing wide Merkins 10 each pit stop. Next we did sided lunges with squat with diamond merkins 10 reps each pit stop. Finally, we went back working the other side doing 10 standard merkins at each pit stop.

Pax then headed over to a curb to do 2 sets of 25 calf raises, moseyed over to the rock pile behind HT and did 21’s curls for the girls 2sets, straight arm front and side raises 15 reps for 2 sets.

We then moseyed over to in front of HT and grabbed a bench to do 2 sets of 25 reps of dips.
