HSHM

The morning was brisk but the sun was on the rise. All the work over the past few months went on display. PRs abound. All the Pax brought the A-Game. Injured ones battled through some pain or decided to ruck. All in all another fabulous showing by the F3 pax.

Cletus BackBlast HSHM Prep

EC: Yogurt and 187 (Slide Rule started late and was almost ran over)

Warm Up: Jog to east parking lot – SSH IC x 30,  Moracin Night Club IC x 20, Mountain Climbers IC x 20, Stretching arms/legs.
The Workout: Broke Back Derkins @ 3 laps with 5 Merkins.   Jack Web’s 1:3 to 10.  Plank Chatter w/ Merkins.
Mary: Double D – few minutes giving pointers on HSHM Lucky Charms – pointers and course overview
Announcements: Yogurt is the new Alternating Q for Cletus – 187 has stepped aside so Yogurt has the opportunity to lead!

HSHM info:  COT will be at 06:30 so we can encourage the Pax that are rucking. Warm up is at 06:50 for Pax doing the 1/2 and 5k. Meet at the start line – Deadbolt will Q warmup. Bring shovel flags and post them at the bottom of the ramp; and pick up the SIX.
Prayer:Double D’s dad, LipSync’s brother, Crablegs, those Injured (Banana Seat we’re hoping you get better quick).

Peeping Yogurt

Rain and cold weather from the night before must have doused the flames of attendance.  Two Pax posted to brave the pause in rain and 50 degree temps.  Woodcreek – 1  Wescott – 0.

Warm Up: The usual jog around the parking lot and through the Cobra Sunrise Strava segment.  Circled up at the flag for:

The Workout:

In the back lot near the flag, they seem to be getting ready for the Xmas trees as there was yellow caution tape extending across on both ends.  We lined up on one end of the tape and did the following exercises to the mid point and then the next exercise to the other end with the tape.

10 reps each of 2nd exercise at the midpoint, continue exercise 1 to the end and then mosey back to the beginning for 5 OYO burpees.

We talked about self doubt and how it can prevent folks from accomplishing their goals.  As brothers we should lift each other up and support one another whenever possible.  Yogurt took us out.

It was a brisk Monday morning, no school for the kids, and I think lots of Pax stayed in to enjoy some QT with the family. 10 Pax posted.

Warm Up: Mosey around the park with some SSH, Dips, IW, Hillbillies, Good Mornings, Fozio Arm Circles

The Workout: 15 minute circuit. Pax paired up for accountability. Pax ran a giant square and did the following: Corner 1 – 10meekins, Corner 2 – 10 squats, Corner 3 – 10 WWII, Corner 4 – 5 burpees.

Moved to the ramp for 11’s with lunges and diamond meekins

Announcements: No U-turn or Ground Pounder Saturday. We will do COT with Pax doing the Ruck at 6:30 Saturday, Warm-up at 6:50. Deadbolt will Q. If you’re not running come out to support.

Dress Rehearsal

1 week until the Holly Springs Half Marathon and the pax were our getting some last minute runs or starting their taper week. Several Pax donned the 2018 Navy F3 HSHM shirt. 23 men total posted. YHC is excited to see the success of all Pax next weekend. Here’s hoping for PRs.

Warm Up: Job to east parking lot – SSH x 20IC, Moracin Night Club x 10IC,  Arm stretches, Plank Jacks x 10IC
The Workout: Started with a nice long stroll around the parking lot – Wheel Barrel style that is; it was long.  Then, Deadbolt said that was not enough arms work, so we did Broke Back Derkins with a 10 count at 3 laps.  Lucky thought that was super easy so next we did the Merkin Shuffle.  Now that our arms were loose we did 7’s across the parking lot with Derkins and Dips.  We jogged to the tennis courts to do Jack Webb’s with a 1:3 ratio; thought we had time to do 20; but we only got to 10.

Announcements: Saturday at Ting – LifeTime run (F3 will start at 6:30 the LifeTime run is later at seven).

Threesome

18 Pax got stronger this morning in what I hope was a nice beatdown by three Q’s. A special Thank you to Emeril and Chips for taking some of the responsibility this morning.

EC: Emeril, Banana Seat, Chips, Slide Rule, Skidmark, 187, and some more. A few late arrivers to EC so not sure who all went out. New route 2.5 miles. Started around the soccer field and then continued on the old EC route.

The Workout:

Chips: Pax went for a mosey to the tennis courts for a set of suicides across both courts. 11’s with Merkins and WWII’s. Finished with another set of suicides.

Skidmark: Mosey to the lower parking lot for a Jacob’s ladder. Pax ran backward up the hill, squats, and than ran forward down the hill.

Mary: Homer to Marge cc 15, Freddy Mercury cc 15, Boxcutters cc 15.

28 pax continued the training for the HS half on a slightly moist morning. For those that made the loop around the lake it was a bit dark, no webs. All kinds of distances and routes this morning. Of training is any indication F3 is about to crush this race. Welcome Porterhouse

8’s.   Bottom of the parking lot do x1 Merkin.   Team of 3 Indian Run to top of parking lot.  7 Turkish getups.  Indian run back down.  x2 Merkins, Indian Run back up top x6 Turkish……

Jog to stairs.   Still in teams of 3.   1 Pax at the top doing squats.  1 at bottom doing star jumps.  Timer is 3rd PAX running down stairs.  Swap/rotate/repeat

Sharknado –   I said 4 different exercises in between sprints to top of parking lot but I meant to only have you do 2 of those exercises and I reserve the right to change those exercises as we’re running.
