False Alarm

This was an emergency Q.  So I co-Q’d with @Fumunga as he had to leave to check on his M
Warm Up: Mosey, SSH, Daisy Pickers, Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, maybe Hill Billies
The Workout: Mosey over to the rock pile John Cusaked over to the playground and we did 4 rounds of colt 45’s, overhead press, tricep extensions, rut rows, 10 pull ups, 10 irkens, and 10 dirkens.  By the time we got through this we John Cusaked back to the rock pile and wrapped up the morning.
Mary:  We did merry go round exercises so everyone could share in the ab exercises.

Warm Up: Mosey around the parking lot, in cadence SSH, Daisy Pickers, Good Mornings, toe touches (middle, left over right, right over left), quad stretches
The Workout:

Batter Up!  – It was a glorious morning for some time out on the ball field.  YHC had 16 wonderful exercises all lined up for business on cards in a hat.  Each batter would draw an exercise out of the hat for a single.  The PAX had to sprint the bases/crab walk/lunge walk/bear crawl while other PAX were at home plate doing the exercise.  Once all exercises were done we put the cards back in the hat and did a double with the batter now drawing 2 cards and doing the exercises.  Batter now had to go around the bases 2 times and PAX did one exercise per each lap around bases.  We were gonna do triples but ran out of time.  NUTS!

Rocking the Wall on 3/25/21

Warm Up: Mosey to bus stop parking lot.  SSH, Frankenstein’s, Daisey Pickers, Good mornings, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Shoulder stretch all I/C
The Workout: PAX grabbed all sizes of Rocks.  Breach decided to grab a small boulder. Mosey to the RR next to splash pad. We did a wall sit and passed each of the rocks waist high to the man next and piled them up at the end, then sent the rocks back to the start. 3 rounds waist, chest and overhead. Two sets of SLT abs I/C. Back to the wall and passed the rocks underneath the legs, Overhead with press and chest press. Two sets of SLT abs. Back to the wall and bicep curl, front raise then two sets of abs.   (Martini and Norm ran more miles and joined the group for a final wall sit and COT.

Lucky 7’s at Possum Trot 3/24/21

Warm Up: Mosey across bridge to shopping mall parking lot. (SSH, Frankenstein’s, SFAC, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Good Mornings, Daisy Pickers all I/C). Mosey to Bank and say Pledge of Allegiance. Mosey down to bottom of hill.
The Workout:  Lucky 7’s > at the bottom of the hill was an AB exercise for 7  reps. Run to the stop sign at top of the hill and do 7 reps of various styles of Merkins. There were 7 PAX so we made it one time around on each person calling out their exercise.
Mary: None

Egg-cellent Adventure

The Town of FV planted eggs at all the local parks for an Easter egg hunt. Each PAX was given a marker and sheet to draw four eggs. We ended up with 1+ mi, some new scenery, and some bad doodles. Norm split off for some miles of his own.

The Workout: First stop Centennial Park. Partner up for this one. One PAX wall sits while the other bear crawls to the sidewalk, 5 merkins, bear crawl back and switch. x5

Second stop FV Arts Center. 3 sets of Irkins, Dips, and Derkins. Guest appearance by the Rolling Stones .

Third Stop Library, Ashworth Park. Circuit of start jumps, bunny hop stairs, step ups, calf raises.

Finally back to Falcon Park for 5 minutes of Mary

Warm Up: Mosey up to the covered bus ramp area at FV Middle School.  SSH’s 20 in cadence, overhead arm stretches and arm stretches across your chest, Michael Phelps, Downward Dog into Pigeon right knee then left knee, followed by a walk up slowly stretching our calves and hamstrings.

The Workout:

Event 1:  Plank hold Indian Bear Crawl.  In a line we held plank while the last man bear crawled up to the front of the line the length of the bus ramp.  Then we called out an 10 count exercise, followed by Bears and Dan’s coming back to where we started.  This is a bear crawl followed  by a 1:4 ratio of lunges to squats building up to 5 lunges (each leg) and 20 squats.  R and R.

Event 2:  Pax performed a given exercise while a runner ran the bus loop.  We did Merkins, LBC’s, Turkish Get Ups, Pickle Pounders, Wall Sits with Seal Claps and others.
Mary: There’s something about Mary that we all love…our abs!  We did Homer to Marge regular, followed by holding your left leg up then right leg doing a 10 count cadence, next was ABC’s and then Reverse LBC’s.

Rockin at the Grave

Warm Up: Mosey around parking lot followed by SSH’s, Good mornings, Windmills, Down Dog into Pigeon stretches, and ending with Imperial Walkers.

The Workout: We took a trip to the rock pile to do a circuit of rock exercises followed by a lap around the community center gym after completing each set.  The sets consisted of curls for the girls, overhead press, tricep extensions, all in cadence to 10.  Then rock merkins 10 each arm, ending with rut rows and a lap.  Next, we did a circuit of 10 WW2’s with a rock, bench press in cadence to 10, skull crushers to 10, and 10 bus drivers in cadence followed by a lap.  Next, round was a R/R of the first set with a lap.  Last set was all legs with rocks.  We did 20 sumo squats, 20 alternating lunges, and 25 calf raises in cadence and R/R before we took our last lap around the community center.
Mary: We did a merry-go-round of ab exercises to get those nice chiseled abdominals.
Announcements: Upcoming lunch this week at Mason Tavern in HS and lots of volunteer opportunities coming on slack.

Warm Up: Usual circle with SSHs, Good Mornings, Willie Mays Haze, Imperial Walkers, Frankensteins
The Workout: Climbed the Stairway to Heaven. Picked up some MEDIUM rocks from the rock pile and headed back to the parking lot. Flags were placed every 3 parking spaces, and PAX would move up and down the parking lot stopping at the flags to preform the exercise. 10 reps at each flag so a total of 80to100 reps after the full length of the parking lot. 1) Lunge walk with squats w/rock 2) crab walk with homer to marge w/rock 3) duck walk with side lunges w/rock 4) bear crawl with merkins wo/rock 5) John Cusack with wonderbras one way (my shoulders are on fire…) and on the way back curls for the girls and tricep extensions w/rock
Mary: Rock hard abs? Only had time for WW2s, Boxcutters, Low Slow Flutter, Have a nice day!

Warm Up: Mosey around the tennis courts with but kickers, high knees and others.  Followed by good mornings, daisy pickers, SSH’s, toe touches, and Frankenstein’s
The Workout:

Event 1: Parking Lot Extravaganza

During this event we did a moving exercise to the next parking space and followed it up with another exercise building up to ten reps.  First round was ten parking spaces traveling by a plank position and typewriter to the next space then a merkin.  RR till we did ten merkins.  Next we did a lunge walk followed by squats.  Then bear crawled foll0wed with mountain climbers and back to starting position with lunge walks again with lbc’s.

Event 2: Upper body nonsense…

In pairs we each picked out a rock of your choice then one partner starting on the long side of the road along the tennis courts ran with their rock to the next corner and back.  Meanwhile the other partner did as many reps of the prescribed rock exercise given by YHC.  We started with curls for the girls, then triceps extensions, rut rows, bus drivers, and ending with overhead presses.

Mary: We got rid of the rocks and mosey over to the tennis courts for Mary and COT.  We did a quick round of balls to the wall and then some shoulder taps to get us started off right.  Next, everyone got on their 6 for some abs.  We did flutter kicks, Freddie Mercuries, E2K’s, and Outlaws.

Crazy Corners at the Grave

A nice warm morning by the graveside. YHC wound up getting more running in during the workout than originally planned. Know your dimensions at the site…it’s a long way around the community center!
Warm Up: Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Frankensteins, Daisy Pickers, Sir Fazio’s F/R, all exercises IC x 12
The Workout: Mosey lap around the Community Center to map out the 4 corners to be used for the PAX today. 4 Corners followed. Each corner had an AMRAP exercise assigned, the timer would be 1 PAX running a full lap, before the group moved on to the next corner. We repeated this process for the following exercises: Hand Release Merkins, Squats, LBC’s, SSH, Alternate Lunges, WW2’s, Squat Jumps, Shoulder Taps, Hand Release-Release Merkins (PAX seemed to disapprove of this exercise…hmmm?).

After 4 corners, we ran around a slightly shorter 4 corners of the main lot 2x Indian Run style. We finally stopped at the pavillion for a series of AMRAP Dips, Step-Ups, and Irkins, this time the timer being PAX taking turns doing American Hammers IC x25.
Mary: Mostly built into workout, but we finished with Good Mornings x12.
