Counted off by three. We had four stations, but I wanted groups of three since there were three Pax present that had already did a steel mace workout. They should be the Shepard for the steel mace. The goal was to keep the legs fresh for tomorrow’s long ass run.

3 complete circuits. Each Station was 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Each pax did 5 to 10 reps each exercise. After completion keep on going till the timer sounds.

Warm Up:  Seven PAX showed up after a pre-blast of sweets and sweat.   Jog around parking deck; circle up by chair and mystery Valentine’s Day heart shaped box and executed the following exercises:  25 SSH, 10 Daisy pickers, 10 Don Quixotes, 10 O/H claps, 10 seal claps.

The Workout:  PAX counted off and then paired up.  Dauber went solo with an odd number of PAX.  Each PAX went to the box of “chocolates “ and pulled out a card.  15 Cards total.  Two exercises on each card:  an exercise for KB and another one.  Lots of mumble-chatter initially but it soon quieted down.  High-tempo workout for sure – everyone kept moving the entire time.

After round 1 the pax partnered up based on the speed of which they completed the round. #1 with #2, 3 with 4, etc with one group of 3.

Repeat round 1 with the faster pax from each pair adding 2x burpees each round.

After two rounds of that circuit we circled up for a round with “big bertha” – YHC’s 60lb kettle bell that doesn’t get enough love. We passsed the bell clockwise between pax with each pax doing one overhead press each. Then we passed it back counterclockwise to keep ourselves balanced (with another press.

We then moved on to circuit 2:

Building a Flow with your Host Dawgpound

It was a warm Friday morning. The parking deck kept us even warmer.  The audio visual team was up and running and streaming Sarah Beth Yoga for the Pax to get a bit of stretching.  Trying to win the day by putting the work back into our bodies.  Dumbo convinced Pablo to run hills though.  That man really loves those hills by the library.

Dumbo even brought his brother out.  Even though he is 9 years younger he refers to Dumbo as his ‘Smaller brother’.  We already had the name lined up.  First job was at a country club.  That went to caddy shack.  That went to Noonan.  Danny Noonan is the kid caddie from the moving that is trying his hardest to get the caddy scholarship.  I wanted ‘Na Na Na’, but everyone seemed onboard with Noonan.  Just don’t let Emeril ruin it for us.  That guy.

It was a special morning.  Besides building our flow we ran the stairs at the parking deck for the first time.  Pax that couldn’t (Pikachu) stayed down and did more abs.

YHC quickly sidelined Banana Seat and said “This is going to be a real delegation” YHC may have planted the seed on delegation the previous 4 days 🙂

Either way, this one can go away to never come back. As Dawgpound said later “we aren’t coordinated enough for that”.

Started things off with a couple of full body kettlebell exercises.

2 Rounds of Single Arm Cleans and lunges.  This is an incremental exercise.  We start with doing 1 clean each arm then one lunge each leg.  We then increment from 1 to 5.  All the cleans are done first and after they are completed we move to the lunges.  I personally felt tired at this point.

Next we took another trip to the wall.

We can back for another flow.  This one was a straight leg deadlift, clean, and clean squat.  We did two rounds of this flow with 10 reps.  During the second round I asked everyone to partner up.  I wanted us to get some work on the pull ups.  I am personally awful at pull ups and need to get better.

Each pax had two sets on the pulls ups.  I personally want to thank Lucky for pushing me here.  I need it.

Next I wanted to move into some chest/back exercises.  We started Bridge Alternating Chest Press.  The mumble chatter really picked up here.  I felt like the workout intensity was not hard enough at this point.  So we took another trip back to the wall.

This time was a bit different. We did two rounds of the following.
