Rollin’ with my PAX

Warm Up: Quick mosey around the library. Hasselhoff was able to catch up with the group after parking late and taking a wrong turn down Library Hill (penalty burpees were skipped accordingly). SSH, Windmills, Imperial Walkers, Sir Fozio Arm Circles, Seal Claps and Overhead Claps
The Workout: YHC brought the workout die. We moseyed around downtown as we let the die decide our fate. Exercises performed included

  • frog squats/jumps
  • People’s Chair
  • planks
  • mountain climbers
  • and 30 burpees.

We got a little over 1.5 miles along the way.
Mary: Popcorn Mary all around including 30 Murkins (thanks Pumpkin Spice).

The Workout:

We had a little upper body circuit going on at the Caveman.

5 rounds of the following exercises with a lap around the parking lot in between to get the heartrate up.

10 Each Side – Uppercuts
10 Each side –Ā  Ballistic Curls
10 Each LegĀ  – Side Lunges
10 Each side –Ā  Bow Draw
20Ā  Bent Over Rows

Take a Lap around the parking lot.

Rinse and repeat.

Mary: We went around the circle and all PAX called out an exercise.

The Workout

Circle of Rock (of course): Mosey to the Rock Pile pick a LARGE rock. Alternate rocks between exercises.

3 sets of 10x3ct of each exercise:Ā  Curls for the Girls, Overhead Tricep Press, Wonder Bras, Rut Rows and Ground Pounders.

3 sets of 10x3ct:Ā  Rock Press andĀ  Skull Crushers

1 set of 10×3 ct: Windshield Wipers, Low Slow Flutter, Box cutters

2 sets of 10×3 ct Rock Spanks (with and without consent) and Single Arm Merkins.

3 holes of disc golf w/ exercises between tosses.

Each PAX took turns driving a disc toward basket (squat hold while ya wait). Exercise after a quick mosey to your disc

Hole 1 Exercises:Ā 5 burpees and 10×3 ct LBCs

Hole 2 Exercises: 10 Merkins, 10x3ct SSH,

The Workout: YHC is all about functional exercises, stuff that can come in handy day-to-day. While we may not see any combat in our daily routines, the Army Combat Fitness Test‘s recommended exercises will surely lead to better results when playing with the kids or tackling that honey-do list. I picked out a few and modified them to make them more F3 Southwake-friendly.

1ish mile run (figure 8)

Round 1
Lunges (10 in cadence)
Star Jumps (10)
Hand release merkins (10)
American Hammers (10 in cadence)
Sprint down the parking lot, mosey back.
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3.

Round 2
Goblet squat (10)
Overhead Press (10 in cadence)
Supine Chest Press (10 in cadence)
Low Slow Flutter (10 in cadence)
Sprint down the parking lot, mosey back.
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3.

At the request of Pikachu, we threw in some Bearly Curling (bear crawl while pushing rock). Down the parking lot, John Cusack the rocks back.

One more loop around the ball fields and back to the tennis courts.

2 Rounds of Knock Out and 3 Pointer Station: Pax line up and do prisoner squats unless they have a ball in hand or one to chase.

Once knocked out, HIMs exercise till last one standing: LBCs, Mnt Climbers, Squats, Lunges, Homer o Marge

Exercises during 3 point stations were Emperial Walkers; Hillbillies, SSH, Plank Jacks,Ā SSH, Squats and Lunges

Warm Up: Quick jog around the Blockā„¢. Circled up for SSH x15, Good Mornings x10, Imperial Walkers x10, Hillbillies x10, Sir Fazio Arm Circles x10F / x10B, Seal Claps x10, Overhead Claps x10.
The Workout: YHC likes to try new things every once in a while. While researching exercises to try, I came across the EMOM concept. EMOM stands for Every Minute On the Minute. (Not to be confused with an eMom, or a mom you meet through online dating. Thanks for explaining Woody, the slide show was a bit much.) So you perform an exercise for, say, 20 reps. If you finish in a minute, you recover for the remainder of the time. I picked an upper body exercise, a lower body exercise and a conditioning exercise. Here’s how it went down (exercises 1 and 2 done with a rock):

Exercise 1: overhead press x20
Exercise 2: reverse lunge x15
Exercise 3: mountain climbers for 1 minute
Rest for 30 seconds.
Repeat for a total of 4 rounds.

Quick mosey around the library.

Thing 2
Exercise 1: curls x20
Exercise 2: squats x15
Exercise 3: SSH for 1 minute
Rest for 30 seconds.
Repeat for a total of 4 rounds.

We were running short on time but completed all 8 rounds. Returned rocks and headed back for Mary.
Mary: LBC x10 was all we had time for.

The Workout:

  • Mossied to the rocks. Medium to large rock.
  • Pax did an assortment of exercises including; curls for the girls, overhead tricep extensions, rut-rows, ground pounders, overhead press, and bus-drivers. sharing is caring so we rotated after each exercise.
  • After two times around we dropped to our 6 for rock press, windshield wipers, and rock spanks at which point Gump told Bubba to ā€œspank it like itā€™s your sisterā€ šŸ¤”.
  • Paused for 5 burpees OYO since Mr. Terrific was about 5 minutes late.
  • Returning the big rocks we mossied to the small rocks pill. Pax grabbed two smaller rocks and hit higher rep curls for the girls, tricep extensions, and arm raises to the front then side. The burn was enjoyable.
  • returning the small rocks we mossied to the playground for step-ups, Diamond-standard Erkins, squats, and single-leg lunges.

Mary:
