Rolling Dirty

Disney is my favorite place to Q, just so many options. YHC looked to bring back a few throwback moves from the likes of Pablo and Shamwow! as we closed out the June Challenge!

FNG’s: no
Warm Up: Good Mornings and then some mosey around back to the football field with stops along the way for some Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Frankenstein, and Sir Fazio’s.
The Workout: Stopped at the back wall of the school for some Shoulder Taps, Monkey Humpers, BTTW, and some People’s Chair with some humorous counts by Breach and Bobby Boucher. We moseyed over to the pit circle and split into two groups. 1 group would do 3 Burpees, head up the stairs, do 3 more Burpees, head down the stairs, then do 3 more Burpees. This was done while the other group did 5 squats/5 star jumps AMRAP. We then repeated this routine and the group not on the stairs did 5 Diamond Merkins/5 dips AMRAP.

We moseyed over to the large circle in front of the school for a variation on clock merkins. The circle was the clock and the merkins became Foxhole Merkins. Lots of grit picked up by these sweaty dudes and a few complaints on this routine. We made stops at 12, 7, 3, 11, and 6.

2 Indian run lines for some 4 corners in the large High School lot. Stops included: 5 burpees, 10 squats, 15 merkins, 15 dying cockroach, 10 burpees. Next we made our way with Indian Runs to the Abyss for 20 LBC’s at the top and 20 Star Jumps at the bottom. We made our way up the Abyss doing a partner wheelbarrow climb (partners alternated crawling per each flight of stairs and no dental accidents occurred). Once again for 20 LBC’s and 20 Star Jumps up and down the stairs with a fellowship run back to the flag.
Mary: Homer to Marge x20 IC
Announcements: Congratulations to team Naked Baby winning the June Challenge and particularly Breach and Cupid for schooling everyone on points.

Now That We Ran a Little Bit…

10 PAX arrived ready to board the Downtown Train on a Monday and knock out some hill repeats first thing! Some of those fellas…Moose, Best in Show, Cupid, and Sunshine…blasted up that hill a few times! A great morning for movement and a welcome break from the heat for a day or two!

FNG’s: No
Warm Up: Good Mornings and Sir Fazio’s followed by a mosey down to the library with some but kickers and fast feet on the circle. SSH x 20 and Imperial Walkers x 15 to finish up the warm up.
The Workout: 7’s on Library Hill. WW2’s at the top, Standard Merkins at the bottom. Those that moved faster, we’re rewarded with either Homer to Marge or Pickle Pounders while waiting for the crew during each pass.

A mosey over to the parking garage for a 5 corners…yes…5 corners routine with a partner. Each corner had a certain count exercise, while the partner did AMRAP wall or core exercise, then switch. Corner 1: 30 Derkins/Pickle Pounders. Corner 2: 40 Dips/LBC’s. Corner 3: 50 Monkey Humpers, BTTW. Corner 4: 40 Star Jumps/Peoples Chair, Corner 5: 30 WW1’s/Bear Crawl.

Ruh rohs, curls, triceps extension, skull crushers, overhead press. The least favorite exercise (not PAX, that’s just hurtful) got voted off each round. Didn’t help that Fram choose a boulder.

Over to the dugout for some bar hangs. 6 saw who could hang the longest while the other 6 “cheered” them on doing amrap squats.

Burpee Golf at Possum Trot 2/9/22

FNGs: None
Warm Up: Can’t remember but we did something
The Workout: Multiple coupons of Heavy weight. (Sprinkler wanted something lighter) One PAX wore weight vest and flipped tire while the rest of us lifted to an I/C 20 count of any upper body exercise you wanted. One PAX threw frisbee in hopes of getting it close to tire. For every step away it was one burpee.  We repeated this cycle twice and the tire went to the other end of the parking lot and back while coupons were stationary. Ended up on over 150 burpee count before Mary. Breach will blame it on the frisbee, but we may have just been tired.
Mary: We did stuff for our abs.
Announcements: Can’t remember…check slack.  I am just typing words at this point because I cannot remember the announcements. Which is why 16-Bit is the BB Nazi and wants you to do them immediately after you Q.  Cancun should be the social media Q…Or maybe he should be the Meme Q…Those make me laugh….HAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAA!

7 of Nipples … err, Diamonds

You know the phrase “My nipples are so hard they could cut diamonds”?  Well, that was this morning’s experience for me, especially with the wind.  I can’t speak for POTS but, damn, was it cold.  Rolled up to the site to find POTS ready and waiting so after planting the flag and a bit of chatter we got started.

FNGs:

Nope

Warm Up:

Lap around the tennis courts

SSH x10 IC

Sir Fazio Arm circles x10 IC forward and reverse

Windmills x10 IC

Imperial Walkers x10 IC

Hillbillies x10 IC

The Workout:

I realized later in the day yesterday that there was no Q signed up so I didn’t have much time to plan anything.  A seven of diamonds is always an easy go-to especially when you have a layout like at PT so we made the most of it.  It would have been more interesting with more people because I had planned on doing some Walk Like an Egyptians and burpee plank indian runs in between some of the corners but POTS and I would have died trying that so we didn’t.

Typical 7 of diamonds, the same exercise at each corner for the whole round, starting at 7 and going up by 7 for four rounds.

First round – Set of 7 burpees at each corner (28 total burpees)

Second round – Set of 14 merkins (56 total merkins)

Third round – Set of 21 lunges (84 total lunges)

Fourth round – Set of 28 squats (112 total squats)

Checked the watch after and we didn’t have enough time to work back down so we moseyed off to the concession stand.  Starting on one side we did BTTW for a 10-count and then bear crawled around to the next side.  There we did People’s Chair for another 10 count.  Bear crawl to the next side of the building for another BTTW set and then another bear crawl to the fourth side of the building for another set of People’s Chair.

After that we headed to the knee wall for two rounds of irkins, dirkins, and dips.  We then moseyed to the tennis courts for…
