A little confusion couldn’t stop us

FNGs:

Warm Up: SSH, Good Mornings, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Windmills, Sir Fazio Arm Circles, Seal Claps, Overhead Claps

The Workout: On the menu today was a modified Murph, done AMRAP style (no specific count to achieve). Since it was rainy, Best In Show made the recommendation that we modify the pull-ups as to not slip and risk injury. We opted for dips instead.

We started out with a quick lap around the soccer fields. Then it was explained that this would be an AMRAP workout, 45 seconds on and 15 seconds off. Three exercises: dips, merkins, squats. Free to do them in whichever order, but switch each time. The idea of an AMRAP Murph seemed to throw PAX for a loop at first, but these are a bunch of smart guys and they caught on pretty quickly. We were able to get in 7 rounds of that before closing it out with another lap around the soccer fields.

Roast Beef Mumblechatter at Purple Cobra

FNGs: None, but we did have Arby’s out for his 2nd workout. Welcome back, Arby’s!

Warm Up:

SSH, Willie Mays Hays, Sir Fazio Arm Circles F/R, Imperial Walkers, Frankenstein, Daisy Pickers

The Workout:

THANG 1:

PAX partnered up to complete some partner work. One partner went one way around the lot while the other went the other direction. When they met up, partners did 10 pattycake merkins on one side, 10 WW2 on the other side. We alternated the mode of transportation between each round. 1st round mosey, 2nd round karaoke, 3rd round lunge walk, 4th round bear crawl.

THANG 2:

We moseyed over to the playground and snagged some cinderblocks thanks to the recent replenishment from No Doubt.

We then completed a partner DORA consisting of 100 block swings, 150 overhead press, 200 squats (we wound up shortening this to 100 squats due to time and YHC getting bored, wanting to do something else…). While one PAX completed the block exercises, the other PAX ran down to the 2nd speed bump just past the facilities (which were open, but no Boucher to be found) and back to the start near the playground.

THANG 3:

PAX returned blocks, moseyed to the facilities once again, but still no Boucher…lots of mumblechatter throughout around Arby’s name (he’s a catering manager at Chick-Fil-A) and lots of ribbing around his love of roast beef sandwiches…I’ll leave it there…

PAX completed 2 rounds of balls to the wall and people’s chair. 10 count each PAX. Impressive counting as each PAX counted to 10 in a different language…English, Spanish, Pakistani, Estonian!!!

Back to the flag for Mary.
