3 Years & 1 Onesie

Solid crowd for YHC’s 3 year anniversary – clearly my warnings of no funny business did nothing to deter anyone from showing up.
After some speedy EC with Yogurt YHC donned the infamouse Pikachu onesie to make things really interesting. 0530 was here with no FNGs and we were off (our FNG showed up ~5 minutes into the workout).

Warm Up:

Mosey to small tennis court and circle up

3x Burpees OYO
5x Burpees OYO since M4Life’s car clock needs to be fixed
SSH x 53 IC

Good Morning x10 IC
The Workout:

Stay on the tennis courts, partnering up (size matters, speed kinda matters)
Start at fence along long side of court, partner 1 does 10 partner carry fence squats, then wheel barrels the short way across the courts
Partner 2 repeats on the other side
Repeat counting down to 1 dropping by 3 each time. Can’t just do 1 so do 10 on the set of 1.

Mosey across street down hill to the well lit big hill in back
Partner 1 bear crawls to the top, does 10 derkins, crawl bears back down
Partner 2 does crab cakes until they’re back and then switch
Repeat with derkins going down 3 each time (7, 4, 10)

Mosey back across road all the way to pull up bars
Partner 1 does 10 pull ups
Partner 2 holds squat hold or helps partner if need be
Repeat with pull ups going down by 3 to 1….10 if pax can handle all that

Mosey back to tennis courts (big one this time) and line up along side line near fence.
Burpee broad jump across both courts to the other fence. Circle up for mary.

Thirteen men showed up for some ab work at Purple Cobra. Thanks for the strong effort!

Warm Up: Lap around building, 5 burpees OYO, SSHs, daisy pickers, 20 plank jacks on your own, merkins x 15, fazio arm circles forward/backward/forward/backward, 8 burpees OYO.

The Workout: Mosey over to adjacent shopping center, bottom of steep hill. Partnered up for Dora. One partner did AMRAP of exercise while other partner ran up hill.

Exercises: 200 dying cockroaches, 400 American Hammers, 600 LBCs.

Mosey back to start for Mary.

Mary: 5 burpees OYO, plank hold for 10 count from each PAX, following exercises all in cadence: LBCs x 40, Freddie Mercury’s x 40, Dying Cockroaches x 40, Freddie Mercury’s x 40, LBCs x 25, Homer to Marge x 25, LBC’s x 25

Warm Up: A few jokes were being thrown out as we huddled before the workout. YHC didn’t take them lightly, so we Mosey off for a quick 0.7 Mile loop.  YHC wasn’t impressed with the effort on the run and called out 34 Burpees OYO to get things started! Circled up for SSH x34, Moroccan Night Clubs x17, hold squat for seal claps x17, right into Monkey Humpers x17. Mosey to back side of HT
The Workout: We continued where we left off yesterday with the shoulder burn and found some wall on the back of HT. People’s Chair until PAX brought it in. BTW hold for 10 seconds, shoulder tap BTW x10, hold BTW for 10 seconds and then shoulder tap BTW x10. We rinsed and repeated! Mosey over by car wash to find some rail. Erkins x17, Derkins x17 Dips x34, Rinse and Repeat. Next we mosey over to the Goodwill lot for some Empty Wheelbarrow Doracides. We got into groups of 3. 2 Pax did Empty Wheelbarrow suicides using 5 parking spots (Think of a crab walk wheelbarrow 🙂 ) While the 3rd pax of the group worked on the Dora 100 Merkins, LBC’s & Squats. Upon completion I told the PAX about YHC and Peeping Tom’s exercise that made the F3 exicon, the Peeping Lipstick. We did 10 Peeping Lipsticks OYO to commemorate the induction into the Exicon (Think Turkish Get up Star Jump)
Mary: Mary was given a nice 9 minutes this morning for some Abys work. We did various excercises from our six and plank position. We ended with American Hammers x17 and my favorite Diamond Merkins x17

Labor Day Convergence 7 of Diamonds

FNGs: Welcome Bunny Hop and Cousin Eddie!
Warm Up: Disclaimer was given. Bootcamp and Frisbee split up.  Convergence crowd mosey down Sugg Farm Rd to big field with Tree.  Flag was planted and we Bear Crawl Burbee to a comfortable spot.  (YHC called out Grizzly as we Bear Crawl and Burpees were performed.  Circle up for: SSH x50, Daisy Pickers x15, FAC x10 Fwd x10 Rev, Overhead Claps x10, Seal Claps x10, Mountain Climber x10, Mountain Goats x10.  Count off and split into 4 groups for accountability.
The Workout: 7 of Diamonds! YHC called out 4 meeting spots in the field that made up the diamond. At each meeting spot we completed the excercise of the round. Round 1 – 7 4×4’s Round 2 – 14 Plank Jacks Round 3 – 21 Diamond Merkins Round 4 –  28 Imperial Walkers Round 5 – 21 Wide Plank Merkins Round 6 – 14 Mountain Climbers with last 4 of each set Mountain Goats Round 7 – 7 Turkish Get Ups
Mary: Circle up around flag for 5 minute plank hold. YHC started off with Bear Crawl Ring of Fire by moving 3 spots to right and swapping out PAX. We continued this for 5 minutes while holding various Plank Positions and Pickle Pounders

13 at Purple Cobra for a long minute of exercises

Warm Up: Moseyed over to behind the new Town Hall Burger and Beer for some Windmills, Good Mornings, Overhead claps, Fozio arm circles, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies and some calf and hamstring stretches.

The Workout: 1 minute AMRAP of numerous exercises followed by run from bottom of Lassiter road to cross street Matthew Drive.  Exercises included Merkins, Squats, Six inch hold, Shoulder taps, Squat Jacks, Chill Cut, Lunges, Side plank to push up, Plank elbow to knees, Speed skaters, In and Outs and Plank See Saw.  1 minute seemed much longer for some of those exercises.

Mary: Time was running short so only 2 exercise for cadence count to 25 Low slow flutter and Superman.

Announcements: 9-11 stair climb. I will have a clown car in the ready leaving Purple Cobra location. I have about space for 5 if you want in. Time TBD.  I will be heading back to Holly Springs after.

Schweaty Cobra

12 Pax came out for a beatdown at the Purplest Cobra and 5 for EC. It was a schweaty morning. For the second week in a row, Plex rolls up as the EC crew is taking off. Axe hung back last week, but this time we all circled back to pick up our tardy comrade. As the F3 mantra goes: we leave no man behind, but leave no man where we found him. Upon return, we were greeted by the remaining PAX. Mookie said M4L HC’d, but we all know what that means. 0530 hit, no FNGs and we were off.

Made our way to Dollar Tree by way of: skips, high knees, butt kickers, carioca, side shuffle, and mosey. YHC led PAX to the crosswalk to safely cross the street, but for some reason neglected the do not cross sign. Luckily 187 was there to keep YHC in check.

The Workout:
At the DT, split into 2 groups for an Indian run around DT and bank while other group does AMRAP of exercise(s) called. Rinse and repeat.

Lunge walk + homer to marge

Mosey to Lassiter rdby way of the crosswalk. #safetyfirst At Lassiter rd, we lined up for 7s with squats at bottom, box cutters at top.

The Workout: Head over to the GCF parking lot and partner up. Share the exercises below with your partner. One partner jogs down to the dead end and back. Switch out each time. Once finished, hold plank for the 6.

With the same partner. One crab walks one side of parking lot to other. The other partner performs plank shuffles around the oval curb. Once this partner finishes a circle, they switch. Add crab walks and sliding. Also subbed in crab walk shuffles on the curb.

Pablo’s Anniversary Q

25 PAX, 12 for EC, posted at Purple Cobra to support Pablo in his 1 year F3 anniversary.  I want to thank everyone who came out to show their support in celebrating this milestone.  I also want to thank Deadbolt for dropping truth bombs on the neighborhood Facebook page that led 187 to bringing me out to my 1st workout.  I also want to thank the F3 Goobers (you know who you are) who keep me accountable and make the daily grind a whole lot of fun.  1st year down, a lifetime to go…

The Workout: Break into 2 groups(Fast and kind of fast) Group 1 Halfpipe with burpee at the top, Group 2 Indian Run around parking lot and switch, Rinse and Repeat double the Burpees.  Jog over to the Stairs, Group 1 on the stairs alternating hit each step and skip a step.  Group 2 Indian Run around the baseball fields, switch.

Mary: Deadbolt led 75 WWIIs for D-Day Memorial

Announcements: YHC is Qing again in 2 weeks.  You’re challenged to EH a sad clown that’s been out to F3 and has been missing.  If you don’t know someone like that then bring an FNG.  Great to be back in the gloom as a Co-Site Q.  There was some mumble chatter that I might not be as committed to take back over and lead.  I hope I squashed that this morning!  Looking forward to leading many more beat downs in the coming weeks!

Side note: The Indian Hills idea came to me and reminded me of a great Sons of Anarchy episode where they patch over a MC in Indian Hills Nevada.  It’s a great episode in a great series(check it out).  I guess you can consider this YHC patching over Disney with all my glory.  It’s a real pleasure to lead you, hope you all have a great week!

Laps for Days

22 PAX came out for Purple Cobra beatdown by YHC. 8 PAX showed up for an EC run before what turned out to be a run-centric workout. We had it all, burpees, hills, running, what more could you ask for? Boogie EH’d his 2.0 to come out this morning, so a quick disclaimer for the FNG and we were off.

EC: 187, Axe, Dahmer, Dawgpound, Full House, Plex, ShamWow, Warbucks

FNGs: Iceman – Boogie’s 2.0, training to prepare for Air Force > Top Gun > Iceman.

Warm Up:

The Workout:
PAX got into groups of 3 (1 group of 4) and repeated a lap with 4 stops for exercises, starting with 10 reps at each station, decreasing by 1 after each lap.

Station 1. Burpees – bottom of Lassiter Rd (Fun for all)
Station 2. Underdogs (rows) – on guardrail at top of Lassiter Rd (ShamWow wasn’t a fan as the guardrail gave him a boo boo)
* Bootcamp workouts in general consist of a lot of pushing exercises and very little pulling. I add these to try and balance out the workouts. Station 3. Monkey humpers – sidewalk at Sunset Lake (did these on the road to give passerby’s a show)
Station 4. Pattycake merkins – Goodwill parking lot (these were interesting with 3)

Groups got in 5-6 rounds before being out of time.

Absolution: Groiners (legs out and back for 1,2), down to chill cut (3,4), chill plank jack (5,6), back up to plank (7,8)
Gas pump – Start in the LBC position and straighten your legs to the Dolly position and then back to the LBC position.
