Disney has new rides!

PAX of 11 for EC and 20 for the main event decided to post at Disney, “The Happiest Place on Earth”, to find out what type of workout Zero dollars could buy.  Q was happy to see a strong showing of men this morning, especially when they could have received a beat down from a cowboy riding a tiger or honored a VQ at the grave of our dear friend Kenny.  The PAX were unaware that YHC had explored Disney earlier this week and discovered some fun new rides (aka pain stations) for today’s beat down.

Warm Up: circled up for SSH IC x 20, IW and HB IC x20, Fazio Arm Circles IC 10 forward- 10 back

The Workout: PAX lined up in two groups for an Indian run that led them to the small parking lot near the community center entrance.  PAX stopped to do 20 merkins which allowed all PAX to catch up.  PAX continued in their Indian Run to the entrance area of the MCHS football stadium to do 15 each Derkins, Dips, and Irkins.  PAX partnered up to complete a triangle circuit of pain that included running over to a large set of steps (abyss’s step sister) and completing a set of Burpees at the bottom, running up the stairs and down the walkway to complete a set of Merkins and WWII,  then running over to and down a smaller set of stairs back to the beginning to complete a set of Prisoner Squats.  Reps for each exercise started at a 10 count and reduced by 1 repetition for each completed loop.  Most PAX were able to complete 6-8 loops before Q called time and headed back toward the flag.  On the way to the flag, Q stopped by a nice wall where partner#1 held “Balls to the Wall” while partner #2 did a 20 count IC of mountain climbers, partners switched places and repeat.  PAX regrouped into 2 Indian Runs back to the flag for Mary.

A Long 45 Minutes

10 PAX got stronger this morning at Purple Cobra with 6 for EC. There was an LED appearance as he attempts to get back on track for his annual post goal. Sparty returned to start his 2nd week with F3. YHC wanted to mix it up and brought a circuit workout (after scrambling to find a timer at 4:30 this morning that was up to the task). My first F3 post was at a circuit style workout by Breach, so I figured I would share my painful memories of this day with those lucky PAX that showed up. The rain held off for most of this morning’s workout, but started coming down pretty hard during Mary to cool us off. This morning was surprisingly quiet with little mumblechatter so I assume the PAX got their money’s worth. No merlot, but I did get Pablo to comment that it seemed like a long workout. F3 starts and ends on time. Lucky for us, the last circuit ended right at 0615.

5:30 hit and we were off on a mosey to goodwill. Upon arrival we did:

Pile up rocks at end of white line. PAX spaced out along line and did American hammer passing rocks down line and back.

Block Webb’s 1:3 up to 6:18 because we could not do any more.

PAX made 2 lines, pile rocks in front of each line.
Plank hold while 1st in each line sprints 2 rocks back, 1 each trip until rocks were returned. Many plank exercises were called.

YHC took us out

20….and that’s a wrap

YHC roped Aquaman into the warm up this morning after he said Friday he wasn’t 100% for going. His post advertising on Facebook was all that was needed to give him warm up responsibilities and ensure a post – Bulls Eye’s (South Wake’s first, and only, Fritter Foundation member) was present as well – t-claps!

No one took YHC up on EC, so the old U-Turn route was ran to get a good sense of comparison between the two. Think the new one is hillier. Came back into the Starbucks parking lot ~0548 to no one there, so another mile was dialed up. When coming back up the parking lot was bustling with activity as the circle had formed.

There was a name for this BB that was discussed during the workout but it has escaped.

YHC, despite Carpex resistance to start a new Kettlebell style AO on a SUNDAY in Cary, decided to come down where he first had his vigin Q many months ago to brush up on his Kettlebell tactics.  Not to mention YHC had not Q’d since early February when he relocated to Cary.  Always a pleasure to see all the South Wake PAX but due to YHC’s limited availability a good beat down with more running than usual was planned.

A little parking lot work at Disney

YHC was working on 5 days in a row of posting since AGS on Sunday and was doubting his commitment to Pablo to Q Disney.  The body was saying “no” but the heart was saying “Hell yeah”.  I found my commitment (not motivation) and rose from the fart sack to post.  Several showed for extra credit but YHC missed that!

Warm Up:  A short lap around the parking lot mixing in some high knees along the way.  Great to see New Mexico drive up and join us as we started.  No penalty burpees.  We circled up for a warmup on this clear 42 degree morning.

We gathered at the corner of the Middle Creek parking lot for the instructions on 10 Rounds with Tyson

Five pain stations (Corners and Lower Center)  – 10 reps of same exercise at each of the 5 stops (50 reps each lap).  Goal is always 10 laps but rarely have time  Laps were

23 STRONG showed up for what looks like it might be the coldest morning we’ll have in April.  Pre Blast conjured up 9 HC’s to which all 9 were present and accounted for – Dahmer and Dumbo with FNGs in tow.  7 made it out for the EC including FNG “Sparty” while UTI ran from home to Purple Cobra for his own EC.  Day 2 of Virgin Q week and everyone stepped it up with attendance beating out yesterday’s impressive showing at Downtown Train.  Lots of sounds and smells permeating from this group of PAX on this cold morning, but we didn’t lose anyone to the HT John today –   Lipstick did find a new porta John behind HT for future consideration though.  YHC was proud to lead today – thank you to everyone for support, encouragement, camaraderie that I have experienced since joining F3.  (187 – special thanks for introducing me to F3).

Warm Up:

Started with a warm-up run around the Harris Teeter building and circled up near the gas station.  Per Dawgpounds Downtown Train request the day earlier we started off with 5 burpees OYO.  Those were followed by Hairy Rockettes (10), Daisy Pickers (12), Imperial Walkers (10), & Hillbillies (10) all in cadence.
The Workout:

We moseyed over to the Goodwill store parking lot where everyone partnered up.  Partner 1 remained at Goodwill and performed People’s Chair while Partner 2 ran around Goodwill toward Planet Fitness and the sidewalk heading back towards Sunset Lake Rd – once on the sidewalk the Pax was greeted with sidewalk chalk instructions to Bear crawl up the sidewalk until they reached the next instruction to start running again making a full loop around and back to Partner 1 they switched places. This was repeated for 4 exercises: People’s Chair, Merkins, Monkey Humpers & Mountain Climbers.  Those that finished early did plank hold to wait for the six. Starting to get close on time we moseyed back over to parking area near gas station and circled up for Mary.

No Q insight

As the Q rolled up he spotted an unusual vehicle in the Starbucks lot. A gray Toyota Tacoma with a NC state flag license plate in the front. There is only one guy that rolls like that. Great to see Double D back in the gloom and grinding for a run. Unfortunately this Q has no insight into the workout as YHC and Shamwow did a mile warmup and bolted for a local 5k. Double D posted at GP later so must not have been too bad. Thanks to Maybelline as he was charged with keeping the 6 close. And for 13 straight days.

13 PAX braved the wind and the rain and joined YHC for a Purple Cobra beatdown. 5 PAX for EC. Flanigan and Blue Hen made the trek across town to see what all the hype was about. Dutch Oven posted after his first post at Ground Pounder Saturday. Lucky made him feel right at home during the 1st set of people’s chair.

Wasting no time, we jumped right into it. Partnered up and wheelbarrowed to end of lot and back, switching as needed. When switching, 1 monkey humper, incrementing by 1 each switch (up to 10). Lunge walks back to pick up the 6.

With lots of strange sweat stains on the wall, PAX mosey’d to the Goodwill parking lot. Partners bear crawled opposite directions around the parking lot and did x10 brokeback derkins when they met. Then jog around lot and do x10 derkins when reunited. Repeated until YHC called it after roughly 2 rounds.

EC started at 0510 with Sliderule, Pikachu, and Skidmark going out on a 5.5 mile run. Sliderule being the mathematician that he is didn’t realize that we would be covering 5+ miles when he HC’d for a 0510 start. Regardless the pax set out on the EC route in very typical Holly Springs weather, chilly. The three arrived back at Starbucks to great the remaining Pax. Sliderule a little worn asked for some of Skidmark’s gu. Skidmark offered to let Sliderule suck his hose (from camelback) and then gave him some gu. Sliderule decline the offer for hose sucking but took the gu down like a champ. Insert all jokes about Sliderule here. Hence the title for our run this morning.

Warm Up: Mookie led the warm-up today. Some light jogging, Side Strattle hops, Imperial walkers, Mountain Climbers, High knees, and butt kickers.
The Workout: U-Turn new course. Made every effort to keep the Pax together. No one got lost. New course very well received. Actual running distance comes out to 5.2 miles.
Mary: Coffee
Announcements: Crablegs tomorrow 2-5. Work time .5 hours. Bourbon time 2.5 hours.

The Longest Balls……To the Wall

Pax of 17 came out in the gloom at PC. Good job men.

Warm Up: Jogged over to near Planet Fitness on Lassiter Road.  A treasure chest of stolen retaining wall bricks from Target were in an SUV. Circled up for Sir Fozio Arm Circles, Imperial Walkers ( I did hillbillies), Good Mornings, and some hamstring stretches.

The Workout:

Pax paired up with one doing exercises  at bottom of Lassiter Rd while the other ran up the hill to intersection at Sunset Lake road.

Exercises to include 100 Merkins, 100 Curls For the Girls, 100 Squats, and 100 Overhead Presses. Variation of plank hold to wait for the 6.

This was repeated with 50 Merkins, 50 Curls for the Girls, 50 Squats, and 50 Overhead Presses. Variation of plank hold to wait for the 6.

Pax jogged over to behind the cleaners to hold Balls to the Wall for each Pax to perform a slow or fast 10 count.

This was repeated with Peoples Chair 10 count down the line.

Jogged over to starting area for some Mary.

Mary: 30 count low slow flutter, 30 count of pickle pounders, 30 count of superman, 30 count of alternating superman.
